Before the eyes and ears of the entire world, the de facto authority has revealed its true, repressive nature, confirming that it neither represents a state nor respects even its most basic principles. Unarmed civilians who took to the streets to demand their legitimate rights were met with all forms of terror and intimidation—slaughter, killing, live gunfire, vehicular assaults, threats, arrests, and brutal repression.

There has been a blatant and unmistakable violation of humanitarian laws and international conventions that guarantee freedom of expression and peaceful assembly. This scene condemns the silence of the international community and places moral and legal responsibility on all those who choose to ignore these crimes.

While reaffirming the people’s right to peaceful expression, we call on our community to prioritize their safety and return to their homes, while remaining fully committed to our legitimate rights. We also call on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and put an end to these grave violations.
