Two and a half months after Rerum Novarum first reported on the U.S. airstrike targeting a migrant detention center in Sa’dah, Yemen, American media has finally acknowledged the incident.

As The New York Times reports, “They fled the war in Ethiopia, then American bombs found them.” The strike destroyed a facility holding Ethiopian migrants, killing at least 75 people and injuring over 50. Many victims were women and children.
