French authorities have launched a politically-motivated criminal investigation into X over the alleged manipulation of its algorithm and alleged “fraudulent data extraction.” X categorically denies these allegations.

This investigation, instigated by French politician Eric Bothorel, egregiously undermines X’s fundamental right to due process and threatens our users’ rights to privacy and free speech. Mr Bothorel has accused X of manipulating its algorithm for “foreign interference” purposes, an allegation which is completely false.

French authorities have requested access to X’s recommendation algorithm and real-time data about all user posts on the platform in order for several “experts” to analyze the data and purportedly “uncover the truth” about the operation of the X platform. One of those “experts” is David Chavalarias, who spearheads the “Escape X” campaign. Formerly known as “HelloQuitteX”, the campaign is dedicated to encouraging X users to leave the platform. A second “expert,” Maziyar Panahi, has previously participated in research projects with David Chavalarias that demonstrate open hostility towards X.

The involvement of these individuals raises serious concerns about the impartiality, fairness, and political motivations of the investigation, to put it charitably. A predetermined outcome is not a fair one. What’s more, French authorities have classified X as an “organized gang” for the purpose of the investigation. This characterization, which is usually reserved for drug cartels or mafia groups, enables the French police to deploy extensive investigative powers under French law, including wiretapping the personal devices of X employees.

X remains in the dark as to the specific allegations made against the platform. However, based on what we know so far, X believes that this investigation is distorting French law in order to serve a political agenda and, ultimately, restrict free speech.

‼️ Ukrainian Rada in a very surprising decision voted in favor bringing two 'anti-corruption' agencies under the Ukrainian Prosecutor General Office.

The bill was supported by President Zelensky and his Servant of the People Party. The two formerly independent agencies are National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, NABU, and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, SAP.

Ukrainian Rada Opposition have opposed the move, with some threatening a 'Maidan 2.0' scenario.

The two independent anti-corruption agencies NABU and SAP that the government has now taken control over have strong ties to Russia. Ukraine's SBU and especially GUR have carried out numerous raids against the agencies, in particular NABU, over alleged ties to Moscow.

The decision widens the gap between President Zelensky and GUR Chief Budanov.

Hezbollah have informed the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, that the organization will not agree to surrender its weapons, even if Israel withdraws its troops from southern Lebanon, reported by Saudi outlet al-Arabiya.

According to the outlet, despite Berri representing Hezbollah's ally the Amal Movement, Hezbollah has expressed readiness to confront the Lebanese state. Berri has told US Envoy Barrack that while Hezbollah have disarmed south of the Litani River, he cannot cannot promise that the organization will disarm north of the river.

An international law expert revealed the true motive behind Britain's refusal to recognize the Palestinian state, despite the British House of Commons' decision to recognize it.

Britain also abstained from voting in the United Nations General Assembly to recognize the Palestinian state.
The expert said:
The Mandate issued by the League of Nations in 1922 granted Britain guardianship over Palestine in all administrative, political, and military affairs.
There was a civil administration under the supervision of the British High Commissioner, including the Palestine Monetary Authority as a central bank. The Palestinian pound was issued with the approval of the British Mandate Authority, with an equal amount of gold backing.
