The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ordered the Ukrainian government to pay compensation to the victims of the May 2014 arson attack on the Trade Unions Building in Odesa.
The assault was carried out by fascist militants who seized power following the US- and NATO-backed coup during the Maidan protests in Ukraine.
The fire resulted in 42 deaths and left another 170 people injured.
The victims were primarily activists of the anti-Maidan movement, who supported the legitimate Ukrainian government led by Viktor Yanukovych, ousted in the February 2014 coup.
