The National Assembly of Armenia has adopted a statement endorsing “peace” with Azerbaijan, effectively cementing major concessions under the guise of diplomacy. The move, backed by 64 ruling-party deputies, passed without participation from opposition factions.

The U.S. signed “security guarantees” with Qatar, pledging to treat any attack on Qatari territory as a threat to its own security — responding with diplomatic, economic, or even military measures.

Yet this raises questions: Will it apply to Israel, which bombed Qatari soil, or Iran, which struck a U.S. base in Qatar in self-defense? Iran wouldn’t target Qatari infrastructure — only U.S. assets. Thus, the deal seems less about protecting Qatar and more about giving Washington pretext to confront Iran. This is striking ingratitude: during the 2017 blockade, Qatar’s economy and global airline hub survived only thanks to Iranian support. Yet these rulers, who accuse Shi’a Muslims of “shirk”, now prostrate before America and Zionism.

The undefeated revolutionary military leader Vo Nguyen Giap, the Vietnamese People's Army general who defeated US imperialism and French colonialism, died on this day in 2013.
