☝My workout routines in the past used to be fast paced and intense because I thought that if I pushed myself harder, then I would have better results and faster
After my hip replacement, life slooooowwwwed down because that was the pace I could physically move to
I learned to feel where I was strong
Where I needed strengthening
Which muscles were overcompensating
Which muscles were giving out sooner
Once I was feeling the subtleties of my body, she began to show me what was under each of those areas of strength, weakness, overcompensation and disengagement
With my left leg in particular, I could see areas of compromise from the soles of my feet, all the way to my hip: left arch collapsed speaking to feeling unsupported since birth, left ankle swollen from several injuries that speak to having my foundation knocked out from under me, knee turned in speaking to hiding or collapsing my feminine power, soft inner thighs showing the desensitization created in my sex center, hips cocked up to hide my sex, and my left hip was double jointed speaking to having zero stability or control in using my sexual and creative energy to move forward
It was in these slow spaces that I found the benefits of slow moving exercises to build the stability my intrinsic muscles needed to stand in my aligned power
As well, my body began to show me the events from my past that shaped my left leg to be this way so that I could love and shift those patterns
Going slow does NOT mean doing less or being less efficient
It actually provides the spaciousness to hear what's asking for support, and then give that support at the pace one is able to handle
Sharing with you a video of what a workout could look like. This may look 'easy', AND it's not. I for sure had a good sweat and am sore today
I purposefully check my alignment before moving, engage all of my muscles, make slow movements to ensure I'm staying in alignment and muscles are engaged, look for what feels out of alignment, feel where my body is wavering, re-adjust and reset to reinforce the new patterns I'm creating
Not only am I staying in great shape, my left leg has made incredible progress in strength and stability, which has translated into my feminine also finding more internal strength and stability

My workouts are opportunities to tune into weak spots in my structure, to hear the stories beneath desiring to be loved and shifted into alignment
Some patterns I've been intentionally shifting are the sister wounds, and feeling like I'm receiving leftover love and connection
I'm able to feel where these stories are currently stuck in my body, and do exercises and stretches that support the strengthening and expansion of that area, as well as the releasing of what isn't serving, and giving myself what my being is asking for
Shout out to @delaneymdwight for showing me exactly what exercises will be best for me
Here I'm doing downward dog pushups to planks, reverse plank, and side planks with arms raises because they are targeting specifically the latissimus, as well as all of my shoulders, upper arms and neck with some of the entire backside being strengthened
I'm already feeling how these exercises are pulling my shoulders down and slightly back, straightening my neck and spine, opening my heart and throat chakras, and I'm feeling my entire backside strengthen with more energy moving throughout...feelslike I'm growing wings!
Life is also bringing me opportunities to have my own back, to honor the intuition of my soul when she shows me what's life-giving, to hold myself in it all, to open my heart to receive and give love, open my throat to express love, desire and truth, to have my own back regardless of how others show up, breath before responding, and to remove the burdens that aren't mine to shoulder
The body is the manifestation of the soul living a particular human experience
What we each choose to do with this information will determine if we cultivate life, or continue to live in a way that drains life and creates blockages

I enjoy observing small children and animals interact with the world around them.
Their actions seem to be inspired by pure curiosity to explore and enjoy life... there's no code of ethics, a list of right or wrong desires, or things they must do.
They see someone or something that piques their curiosity, and they go explore- with pleasure being the indicator of whether they desire more of that experience.
They express unhindered and exuberant love, joy and desire for connection, as well as unbridled fear, pain and rejection or shunning of an experience that is not pleasurable.
Are we able to come back this place of innocence as our own lives unfold?
Here's an excerpt from The Power of Intention by Dr Wayne Dyer. Here he's speaking about how to create an easeful and tranquil life.
"You didn't come forth into this world to suffer, to be anxious, fearful, stressful or depressed. You came from the God-consciousness of joy. Just watch little babies. They've done nothing to be so happy about. They don't work; they poop in their pants; and they have no goals other than to expand, grow and explore this amazing world. They love everyone, they're completely entertained by a plastic bottle or goody faces, and they're in a constant state of love-yet they have no teeth, no hair, and they're pudgy and flatulent. How could they possibly be so joyful and easily pleased? Because they're still in harmony with the Source that inteded them here; they have no resistance to being joyful. Be like that baby you once we're innterms of being joyful. You don't need a reason to be happy ...your desire to be so is sufficient."
Today I choose my own innocent desires to guide my expansion, connection and love, as well as inspire my life towards tranquility and ease.

For most of my life I was scared of my power because of the ways I had seen power abused, and because of the ways I had abused my own power.
I've since innerstoood that much of how I was responding to life and people was like an injured dog.
Unsure if what was coming towards me was love or danger, I often snapped at anything that had the faint whiff of danger...even if it wasn't danger.
This was a tiring and lonely way to live because it not only sacred off the danger, it repelled the good coming to me.
Learning WHY I responded to life and people the way I did was the first step in cultivating peace with myself because I learned I was normal.
AND I learned that all the fear, snapping, running, etc , were my body/mind responding in ways that it knew to keep me alive and safe.
It was always love
There was no internal betrayal, no evil nature driving my actions...just a scared, young girl trying to make it in what felt like a dangerous world.
