One of the greatest blessings: to witness “partners in crime” evolve into “partners in Khayr” (إن شاء الله).

The sibling bond is unmatched in its uniqueness. After (and even during) all the squabbles and fights, in the deep depths of the night, it’s always:

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلأَخِي وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِي رَحْمَتِكَ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

"My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the most merciful of the merciful." [7:151]

They used to tell us: when nobody is there for you in life, you will turn around and see your siblings standing behind you. And by Allāh, we only ever found that to be true.

[Allāh] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother…” [28:35]

May those who we shared a womb with share with us in the delights of Paradise. May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on our parents, for after Islām and Tawheed, the best gift they gave us was each other, and of the most precious lessons they taught us, was the value of such bonds.

They say “blood is thicker than water”. We say لا إله الا الله is thicker than both. But what a Ni’mah when you get two in one!

This latest release by Shaykh Musa (حفظه الله تعالى) is something we should place between our eyes, especially for those in Da’wah. Be weary of elevating yourself & of self prescribed noscripts — this is talking to people with actual knowledge. What have you of those like us, who are a nobody’s nobody?!

اسال الله العظيم رب العرش العظيم، ان يطهر قلوبنا من النفاق، وعملنا من الرياء، وكلامنا من الكذب

There’s no room for competition, exclusivity, and conceit in Da’wah.

When you’re working for Allāh — and IF you’re truly working for Allāh — you should never feel or act like you have monopoly over a certain field or niche in the Da’wah. If you’re sincere, then you would be delighted at anyone else joining in and attempting to help spread the Khayr and you would welcome, support, and promote it if fit.

We need to get off our high horses and remember that no matter what we do, we’re still nobodies in the grand scheme of things, made of dirt only to return to it. We’re beggars pleading with Allāh to accept our small efforts, yet you see some act like as if they were made authorities over people just because of a few thousand followers or fancy editing, and you can sense their annoyance when others attempt to enter into their arena.

Those who are the most successful in Da’wah are those who are the most sincere.

Those who are the most successful in Da’wah are those who are the most sincere.

Those who are the most successful in Da’wah are those who are the most sincere.

Take it as a rule.

Your persona has no importance in this noble work. A true Da’ee is more concerned with what’s best for the message he’s attempting to propagate. Whether the truth comes from him or other than him, he doesn’t care, it’s all the same — as long as Allāh’s Deen is being upheld and defended.

May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى Forgive us and Guide us to realize the vices that lie within our hearts. May He Pardon us with His Vast Pardon. May He Bless those who sincerely engage in this noble field endlessly in both worlds.

Desirable Qualities of a Wife | Surat An-Nisā’ | #QurānicReflections

• Free, believing women

• Chaste (neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse nor those who take boyfriends)

• Devoutly obedient (to Allāh تعالى and their husbands)

• Guarding in [the husband's] absence both his property and their chastity

Words that a believer will not cease to hear about himself so long as he believes:

إِذْ يَقُولُ ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ غَرَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ دِينُهُمْ ۗ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌۭ

[Remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said, "Their religion has deluded those [Muslims]." But whoever relies upon Allāh - then indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise. [Al-Anfāl: 48]


فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا ۖ وَمِنْ ءَانَآئِ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ

So be patient over what they say and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied. [Tā Hā: 130]
