THE DEFINITION OF EEMAAN (FAITH) ACCORDING TO AHL AL-SUNNAH WA’L-JAMAA’AH
The Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jamaah: they are the ones upon whom what has similarly been upon the Prophet ﷺ and His companions, and they are the ones who adhere to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ and they are the companions, the followers, the Imams of guidance who followed them, and they are the ones who have been right in following, and have rejected innovation in any time and place, remaining victorious till the Day of Judgment.
الإيمان الإقرار بالقلب , والنطق باللسان , والعمل بالجوارح
al'iiman al'iiqrar bialqalb , walnutq biallisan , waleamal bialjawarih
Eemaan (faith) is “belief in the heart, words on the tongue and actions of the body.” It increases and decreases.
This includes three things:
1.Belief in the heart
2.Words on the tongue
3.Actions of the body
As this is the case, then it will increase and decrease. That is because the degree of belief in the heart differs from one person to another. Believing in what someone tells you is not the same as believing something that you see with your own eyes. Believing in what one person tells you is not the same as believing what two people tell you, and so on.

Hence Ibraaheem (peace be upon him) said:
“ ‘My Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead.’ He (Allaah) said: ‘Do you not believe?’ He [Ibraaheem (Abraham)] said: ‘Yes (I believe), but to be stronger in Faith’” [al-Baqarah 2:260]
Eemaan may increase with regard to belief, contentment and tranquillity in the heart. A person may experience that in himself when he attends gatherings of dhikr where he hears a lesson. Remembering Paradise and Hell increases eemaan to the point where it as if you can see them with your own eyes.
Ibn Taymiyya (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "Those who have passed from our predecessors do not distinguish faith from deed, deed from faith, and faith from deed. Whoso believes with his tongue, knows in his heart, and has believed through his deeds, that is the indissoluble bond that cannot be broken. But whoso says with his tongue, doesn’t know in his heart, and doesn’t believe through his deeds, will be among the losers in the Hereafter.” [Kitab al-Imaan pg. 250]
This is stated in the Qur’aan and Sunnah. I mean the fact that eemaan may increase and decrease. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Qur’aan is the truth as it agrees with their Books regarding the number (19) which is written in the Tawraat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and that the believers may increase in Faith [al-Muddaththir 74:31]
“And whenever there comes down a Soorah, some of them (hypocrites) say: “Which of you has had his Faith increased by it?” As for those who believe, it has increased their Faith, and they rejoice.
But as for those in whose hearts is a disease (of doubt, disbelief and hypocrisy), it will add suspicion and doubt to their suspicion, disbelief and doubt; and they die while they are disbelievers [al-Tawbah 9:124-125]
According to a saheeh hadeeth, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have never seen any women lacking in reason and faith who have a more negative impact on the mind of a serious man than you.”
Thus eemaan increases and decreases.

Sisters! Preserve your dignity and honour by marrying a man of faith!
The sisters should always seek to marry a righteous man with good character, that’s a priority! If he loves you, he will be good and generous towards you, he will treat you good, respect you and follow means to please you. However, if he doesn't love you or things don't work out, he will never persecute you, oppress you, humiliate you or talk bad about you, he will keep it to himself.
A prominent filthy attribute many men possess is talking excessively and extremely bad about their exes, uncovering and revealing even the most intimate details about them. This person's heart is void of Taqwa.
That's why you should seek to marry a righteous man who has the fear of Allah in his heart.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, if a righteous man comes to ask for your daughter's hand and you are pleased with his religion and character, do not object or refuse him. If you do not do so, there will be fitnah (affliction on Earth and a lot of evil and corruption will occur).

Shaykh Sulaymān al-‘Alwān (فك الله أسره) was asked: If a man was separated from his wife by force due to imprisonment, can the wife request Khula’ (i.e. seek separation)?
Shaykh Sulaymān al-‘Alwān (فك الله أسره) responded by saying:
Yes, she may request it if the time period (of imprisonment) would be long, and it would be considered Khula’ in this situation.
But what’s required of a wife is to be hopeful in seeking Allāh's reward concerning her husband, and not to request Talāq (divorce) due to the mere imprisonment of her husband.
Since the prisoner would be in most need of those to stand with him, so if a woman was to forget the previous moments of companionship, then request for divorce, this woman in reality hasn’t stood side by side with her husband.
What’s required of her is to stand with her husband, because the husband is in most need of people standing alongside with him (as he’s facing distress), let alone his wife who is the closest of people to him.”

An apostate group (whose Kufr & killing/imprisonment of Muslims is well-known) is openly supported & defended by this individual, while the righteous group gets slandered without proof.
To the brothers/sisters who promoted this misguided individual in the past or mentioned him positively - you must publicly free yourselves from him and make it clear that he is not a true scholar or someone to take knowledge from. You have to take responsibility and hidden indirects are not sufficient.
*Just for clarity - we never listened to this individual nor have we ever promoted him.

That's what happens when the rats come out of the hole!
Q. In our community, there is a lady who said that there is no proof about the Hijab in the Quran. The people became persuaded and all the young people in particular now support her...
A. If you wonder about people supporting such an absurd claim, how marvelled must you become when you see some people spreading that same evil! To the extent that they go and even fight against it and they fight the righteous people verbally and/or physically. The case has always been as such. They appoint themselves as a God, they disqualify people, humiliate people, upgrade some people, fight the righteous who do Da'wah for the sake of Allah - that's worse than what this lady brought! Those people are vile and evil riff-raff people, some disguising themselves to be part of the Ummah, but in reality, they are as part of the Ummah as Abdullah ibn 'Ubayy ibn Salool was. In reality, they cannot stand to see good for the Ummah nor the believers from the Ummah.
The one who upgrades people in honour and dignity and humiliates people is Allah and Allah alone, regardless of how much the evil-hearted try and regardless of how much they seek to spread evil and corruption.
These rabbles of savages read a post and consider themselves as great scholars when in fact they roam around without any knowledge, blindly going against the righteous people and those who make Da'wah to the path of Allah. My advice to them is a statement I heard my Shaykh رحمه الله say more than fifty years ago, those people - the ignorant and evil people - they have no knowledge and make the lawful unlawful and the unlawful lawful. Before you go against the righteous and before you make fatwa and attempt to humiliate people or strip people from their noscripts, first go and learn how to wash your backside properly from the faeces in it. Cleanse your heart from the evilness and envy in it. Attain knowledge then speak.
The righteous people do not care, they shall continue to spread da'wah for the sake of Allah just like the one who gets up at the last third part of the night. Unknown. They shall not be harmed by the blame of the blamers nor do they seek the praise of the one who praises either. They seek reward from Allah alone. They don't even seek to be known, they seek no fame, no wealth nor any praise, all they seek is the face of their Lord. Regardless of those evil ignorant people desiring to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, Allah will perfect His light.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, there will come to the people deceptive years wherein treachery and deception will be rampant. The liar will be regarded as honest and truthful and the honest one will be regarded as a liar. The traitor will be regarded as the faithful and the faithful as a traitor. The Prophet went on to say at the end of the hadith, the Ruwaybiddah الرويبضة will start speaking and start deciding the Ummah's affairs, raise this, humiliate this, do this, exactly the hypocrites' ways. The Ruwaybiddah will start deciding and running the affairs of the Ummah. The Messenger of Allah was asked, who are the Ruwaybiddah O Messenger of Allah? He replied, the vile, evil and revolting people with baseless manners who try to control and speak regarding the affairs of the Ummah and they talk wickedly about the righteous people, those upon the right path.
These people are fishing in the troubled water. They seek but fame and glory though it is only a few moments worth, but Allah is the protector of His 'Awliyah - their life and their honour.
Such people with this sickness in their heart need Umar's stick on their head.
A man came to Medina from Iraq and he was asking continuously about the equivocal verses of the Quran. Umar رضي الله عنه heard about him and summoned him before him.

Then Umar started beating him up until his head started bleeding, Umar threw him in the well, he then took him out of the well and continued to beat him up until the man said, the evil or hypocrisy in my heart O Umar has disappeared! Evil is spread even through one whisper, the evil and corrupt one sparks the fire and the majority of the people add wood to it. But Allah always guides His truthful believers just as He kept firm his righteous slaves during the slander of A'isha رضي الله عنها. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, part of the perfection of a person’s Islam is his leaving off that which is of no concern to him.
The hypocrites and evil-hearted are always looking to cause fitnah.
My advice to those who have no shame, no dignity and their hearts are filled with evil, if you have no shame, no manners or good character and you lack fear of Allah, slandering and running your mouth in matters which are of no business to you, when you should be focusing on your hereafter and that which aids it... then do what you want! May Allah bless all those who make Da'wah with sincerity and accordingly, may Allah reward them heavily for the punishment and harm they endure for their righteousness.
Don't speak about matters of which you do not know. It is with no doubt we shall continue to ignore or block the one who inquiries foolishly regarding our family. You are a جاسوس seeking to harm but the believer is not bitten from the same hole twice!
O Allah, we place you as a defender and protector against them. O Allah, we seek your protection from their evil and envy. O Allah, suffice us from them by any means You want and by any means You wish.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُور
Truly, Allah defends those who believe. Verily, Allah likes not any treacherous ingrate to Allah [those who disobey Allah but obey Shaytaan (Satan)].
