Until now, both Kuwait and Bahrain voiced support to KSA's ban of importing vegetables and fruits from Lebanon but did NOT ban imports themselves as of tonight.
Unconfirmed: Local Syrian pages are reporting the death of a Syrian employee on the ship attacked by a drone and the loss of another two.

It's official.

The tanker seen burning today off the coast of Baniyas is not an Iranian vessel, but a Beirut-registered tanker called WISDOM. She has assisted the Iranian VLCC supertanker ARMAN 114 by offloading 300-350K barrels at a time due to depth restrictions.

The United States is close to declaring Lebanon as a paralyzed and failed state.

"The Biden administration will deal with a government formed by the Lebanese on a condition that it does not include Hezbullah", sources spoke to Al Hadath. The Americans are currently "reviewing the Lebanese file with frustration".

David Hale is soon to be replaced with Victoria Nuland: an American-Jewish diplomat, she is the granddaughter of immigrants from Ukraine, and served as US Assistant Secretary of State in the Eurasian file. She became famous with the leak of her meddling in the Ukrainian government process, in the plot that ousted pro-Russia President Yanukovych in 2014.

David Hale's last visit to Lebanon included a bid of farewell to Lebanese politicians (the corrupt ones).
It is wise for Gazan faction leadership to cover their track and lay low, the only way to explain the weak or lack of IDF response against rocket fire, is their will to assassinate.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian citizens and reaffirms its firm support for our heroic people in Jerusalem and in all the occupied territories in Palestine and Syria.
Foreign Ministry: Syria calls on the international community, including the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities, to stop Israeli crimes, and to move quickly to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem
17 tons of hashish coming from Lebanon were seized and burned yesterday in Niger. It was passed through an African port. 12 Nigerians and 1 Algerian have been arrested. (https://www.actuniger.com/soci…)

I hope the Lebanese security forces, especially the two tasked with fighting narcotics (namely the customs, and the anti-narcotics "task force" in the ISF), are happy with the new reputation of Lebanon being a hub for drug manufacturing.
Hashish is grown on all main roads in Beqaa and all mountains there. It's visibile on Sattelite. It's not exactly complimented to shoot and kill some farmers and destroy their crops.

As for Captagon, minimalist intelligence work would give you access to any factory.
The Lebanese started drug careers by smuggling to Switzerland in the 1960s and 1970s.

If we want to end this clown show, it's easy (not exactly in a farm called Lebanon), by sending security forces and the army on raids in Beqaa. I bet we could destroy enough crops and factories in one day to setback the manufacturing for years.

When was the last time did you hear on the news that the Lebanese security apparatus raided a hash farm? Not in a decade and half. They only arrest end users and some factories.

There is no will from the government or the security forces to fight.
When Vice and BBC can do to Beqaa and meet drug lords and do interviews with zero blurring, or when Al Jadeed can meet Noah Zuaiter, I believe ISF and Leb army can do that too and reach them.

Hash aside, captagon is more serious and much more widespread.

They call it the "Liban Connection", in reference to the "French Connection", a large scheme for the smuggling of Turkish-produced opium (heroin) to France, USA, etc, that reached a peak in the 1960s.
