Minister Ghajar reached an agreement with Iraq to purchase one million tons of oil. He added:

We will announce a tender to replace the Iraqi (crude) oil that Lebanon will not use in exchange of fuel suitable for the power plants. It will allow 4 ⁠months of electricity.

(Note) By that, he means the usual 8-20 ⁠hour supply, depending on the area of Lebanon where there is no equal distribution of power.
