It has branches in Beirut, north/south Lebanon with profits solely for funding the well being of the families of the Martyrs of Hezbullah. It is also one of few still selling at official prices.

The Syrian currency survived 10 years of war, and recently only collapsed because Syrian, who have up to 50 billion dollars deposited in Lebanese banks, lost access to them. No dollars means no ability to purchase goods for Syria and deteriorating currency.
