⋯ 4⃣ Israeli groups threaten the Islamic identity of Al-Aqsa
The occupation's officials have for long trampled on the mosque’s sanctity. Middle East Eye recalls: «Soldiers who captured [Jerusalem] entered the mosque courtyards on 7 June 1967 while raising the Israeli flag and banned Muslim prayer for a week». In 1990, «an Israeli group known as the ‘Temple Mount and Eretz Yisrael Faithful Movement’ attempted to place a cornerstone for the Third Temple in the compound. Israeli forces responded with live fire to quell confrontations and protests by Palestinians, killing more than 20 and wounding at least 150.»
Groups recently renewed calls to make Passover sacrifices. Yet, many rabbis forbid to even visit the site; Al-Monitor noted in 2021 that «a warning sign reminds visitors that ultra-Orthodox and other Orthodox rabbis say it is forbidden to enter until the Messiah comes». But a few meters ahead, «another sign greets visitors warmly [...] and details the religious laws governing the site, according to the rabbis that allow entry. [...] More restrictions include not visiting in leather shoes and that women must undergo a ritual bath before visiting.»

⋯ 5⃣ Palestinians try to stop the dispossession of Al-Aqsa
«To stop the incursions, Palestinians have long organised what is known as Ribat, a social and religious sit-in activity in which worshippers gather in the mosque for extended hours and even days», Middle East Eye explains.
«The purpose of the Ribat is to populate the premises of the mosque at all times to prevent Israeli settlers from entering it, especially during Muslim holidays. The Israeli police have on multiple occasions raided Al-Aqsa to clear it of worshippers participating in Ribat, particularly ahead of Jewish holidays.»

“Palestinian rioters throw a Molotov cocktail from inside the Al Aqsa mosque” (Link)
In fact, the footage shows the Israeli stun grenade bouncing off the grid installed in place of the destroyed window. Watch this moment.
Besides, Palestinians are unlikely to smuggle Molotovs: there are checkpoints and fenced-off ‘sleeves’ at the gates to proceed for body search. Today's situation is stricter than in 2017, when guns had been successfully smuggled.
