With escalation comes escalation, and that never stops at any threshold. The important question today is, how irrelevant is Gaza becoming to the Israeli public and how daring is the Israeli army.

Personally, I still think that the Israeli government - that stopped the invasion of Rafah under western pressure - is highly unlikely to launch an invasion of south Lebanon.

At most, for now, the bad scenario is a massive air attack on many Lebanese villages and pinpoint attacks in Beirut and Beqaa.

And I do think that no matter how things progress or escalate, Netanyahu is trying to buy enough time until the US elections and the loss of Joe Biden. This is going to be his political lifeline.

🔥 The extremist yeshiva - Talmudic school - of Rabbi Tzfaniah Drori is about to be burned in Kiryat Shmona.

A soldier slain last year in a resistance operation was educated in this yeshiva. His family is closely related to Hilltop Youth and far-right Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

The yeshiva combines Talmudic studies with military service (Hesder). Its motto is “a book and a sword” (Safra veSaifa).

The meeting will take place at the recommendations and asking of ex-MOD and current member of the cabinet, Benny Gantz.

Gantz has previously promised to leave the government of it fails to end the battle in the North before September and the upcoming Academic year.

Media claims that the government might take decisions to escalate the attacks on Hezbullah, to exert a higher price to its actions.

In the past few days, unprecedented diplomatic messages have arrived in Beirut, sent by the United Kingdom, warning about an imminent Israeli offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon

The British informed Lebanon that they expect an offensive to take place in mid-June

📝 The Israeli goal isn't to win a war in Lebanon or engage in an invasion now, the reality is a goal to harm and increase the price exerted on Lebanese civilians and Hezbullah for the choice they took on 8-October 2023.
