The meeting was preceded by a private meeting between the President of the Republic and the US Special Envoy

- Baabda Palace succeeded in circumventing the American demand to form three diplomatic committees and proposed the formation of a technical committee to discuss the land border between Lebanon and Israel.

- Ortagus raised the issue of reforms related to the International Monetary Fund, stressing that it is as important as the security file in Lebanon.

- Baabda Palace presented a serious vision, but in accordance with Lebanon's priorities, in addressing the outstanding security issues, starting with the Israeli withdrawal and reaching the demarcation of the borders and implementing the ceasefire, which would later include the exclusivity of arms in the hands of the state.
