South Lebanon is two parts: South Lebanon Governorate and Nabatieh Governorate

For the South Lebanon which is south of the Litani river there are 144 municipalities distributed over:
- Tyre
- Marjaouyon
- Bint Jbeil
- Hasbaya

Of these 144 towns, 72 won without elections whereas 72 have elections today

Of the 72 that won without elections, 71 are for Hezbullah and Amal. One is for families

Of the remaining 72 towns, only 37 have Hezbullah-Amal participation.

The remaining 35 do not have any Shia participation. They are most likely Sunni, Druze, and Christian towns

Many towns are diaspora, many didn't vote

I know there is U.S pressure on the Iraqi Gov to conclude this file, especially that the Iraqi Gov detained Iraqis who were helping Gaza

But releasing the Israeli will be more expensive that local Iraqi government prisoner release deal

Thankfully FPM is winning in Jezzine and has defeated the Jezzine-based LF MP Ghada

Congratulations. I hope this is an awakening call for them that unity within their party is important

In a disgusting statement, the Lebanese PM issued a tweet to commemorate the national Lebanese holiday "Liberation and Resistance day" calling it "Liberation day", omitting out the role the resistance in the liberation

He proceeded to stress on Lebanon's right for self defense under UN laws in case it was attacked, as if Lebanon is not under daily Jewish attacks

Lebanon's state didn't defend or engage and is anti-resistance, so whose self defense!?

On the other hand, Aoun seems to forgot to commemorate the day, unlike his days in the Army when he would issue a statement

The pain this year..is that for the first time in 25 years, Sayyed Hassan is not with this to tell us about this day.
