The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, expressed his strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression this evening on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, affirming that "this flagrant disregard for an international agreement, as well as for the axioms of international and humanitarian laws and resolutions, on the eve of a sacred religious occasion, is the striking evidence of the perpetrator's rejection of the requirements of stability, settlement and just peace in our region.
He adds:
"It is a message addressed by the perpetrator of these atrocities, to the United States of America and its policies and initiatives first, through the Beirut mailbox and through the blood of its innocents and civilians.Which Lebanon will never yield to."
