📰 The "Beirut Review" website has learned that Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and his staff are looking into the possibility of punishing the army commander, General Rudolf Heikal, and the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah.

‏أثبت نواف سلام خلال فترة قياسية أن تصرفاته تكاد تكون أشبه بتصرفات المراهقين، ولا يعقل أن الرجل الذي نشاهده أمامنا كان يوماً ما قاضياً في محكمة دولية أو أنه يمثل نموذج عن رجال الدولة!

كان نواف سلام في غنى عن "حشر" نفسه في إشكالية بيان أول تضمّن قراراً بمنع احتفالية إضاءة صخرة الروشة، إذ كان بإمكانه، على سبيل المثال، أن يطلب من وزير الداخلية متابعة الموضوع. غير أنه أصر على المضي بالقرار، ثم عاد وأصدر بياناً ثانياً بعد إنتهاء الفعالية ظهر فيه وكأنه يتصرف بدافع انفعالي عاطفي نرجسي وكرد على تجاهل موقفه، قبل أن يتبعه ببيان ثالث لم يكن أقل سوءاً، حين قرر "الحرد والإعتكاف" في خطوة غير مسبوقة من حيث الأسباب، صُوّرت على أنها تصرف غير ناضج، فوجد نفسه في مأزق يجرّ معه آخرين.

ولمحاولة الخروج من الورطة، أقحم سلام وزيري الداخلية والدفاع في القضية، مستعيناً أيضاً بخدمات نائبه طارق متري، الذي أمضى يومه في "تمسيح وسخ" رئيسه ومحاولة إحتواء تبعات تصرفاته وتأمين مخرج لائق له.

سلام يبحث الآن عن "إنتحاري" لتلبيسه نتائج أخطائه، وإستطراداً يبحث عمن ينزله عن الشجرة التي صعد اليها. ويبدو أن خطته تقوم على تحميل الجيش والأجهزة الأمنية المسؤولية من خلال دفعها إلى ملاحقة منظّمي فعالية إضاءة الصخرة وتوقيفهم.

وبذلك، بدا نواف سلام كمن يشغل البلاد بقرارات ارتجالية في وقت يواصل فيه العدو الإسرائيلي عربدته للأجواء، فيما يفلح "جيش السماسرة" على الأراض داخل المؤسسات دون حسيب أو رقيب.

مع ذلك، فإن ما جرى، رغم سلبياته، أفرز نتيجة وحيدة لا لبث فيها، تقوم على إنهاء مبكر لطموحات سلام السياسية، وسط قناعة متزايدة بأنه لن يكون له أي حضور فعلي بعد انتخابات عام ٢٠٢٦.
