Modern liberalism:
Detaches freedom from telos
Detaches choice from objective good
Detaches will from role and hierarchy.
Freedom becomes the capacity to choose without reference to the good.
That is license, not freedom in the classical sense.

In modern mass societies, centralized anti-anarchy regimes are the primary generators of mob rule.

Democratic Republicanism does something unprecedented: it abolishes visible rulers, while intensifying invisible rule.
This produces:
managed publics
manufactured consent
symbolic participation
procedural legitimacy without real agency.

coordination monopoly
→ mass psychosis
→ bureaucratic tyranny
→ ritualized mob behavior

The key mechanism is menticide:
belief-shaping replaces command
legitimacy replaces accountability
participation replaces agency
narrative replaces law.

People are not free; they are made to experience control as freedom.
