On 10 March 2025, families and dignitaries gathered to inaugurate the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 Memorial—six years after the tragedy that claimed 157 lives. Designed by Alebel Desta Consulting Architects, the site features symbolic monuments, a healing sculpture, and paths retracing the flight’s final moments.
More than a tribute, the site is a living reminder of global connection and collective loss - crafted to evoke absence, invite reflection, and inspire healing.

On 13 May 2025, AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union and AFRONOVA, held a formal press event at the AU headquarters to announce the 2025 host city and calendar for the All Africa Music Awards.
Lagos, Nigeria, was unveiled as the host city for the awards, with artist submissions opening from May 27 to August 8. This year’s theme, “Unstoppable Africa,” was also revealed. The event featured remarks from AFRIMA executives, AU cultural leaders, and a panel with artists such as Stonebwoy, Eddy Kenzo, Makhadzi, and many more.
