On 5 September 2025, global lingerie and beauty brand Victoria’s Secret officially opened its doors at the Flamingo Duty Free shop in Addis Ababa. The launch is reported to be the brand’s first physical store in Africa, making Ethiopia the entry point for one of the world’s most recognizable names in fashion and beauty.
Located within a duty free shopping space, the store offers travelers and local shoppers access to Victoria’s Secret’s signature lingerie, fragrances, and beauty collections, now available without added import duties.

From mirrors and threads reflecting the cycles of social media, to stones wrapped in fabric symbolizing struggle and liberation, to deeply personal explorations of mental health and identity, the exhibition was both moving and thought-provoking.
