Kacha Digital Finance Service has been crowned the overall winner of the 2023 Ethiopian edition of the Visa Everywhere Initiative (VEI) innovation program and competition for start-ups and fintech companies. Kacha received a $25,000 USD monetary prize while Qena who finished in second place won $15,000 USD with Smile Pay, receiving $10,000 USD for clinching third place. We received over 170 applications for the 2nd VEI Ethiopia Edition and top 4 start-ups got a chance to present their solutions in the presence of esteemed judges, panelists, speakers and invited guests.
