Russia and India abandon Europe-dominated oil price, agree to use Dubai oil price benchmark.

#Russia's largest oil producer #Rosneft and India's top refiner #Indian Oil Corp agreed to use the Asia-focused #Dubai oil price benchmark in their latest deal to deliver Russian oil to India, three sources familiar with the deal said.

The decision by the two state-controlled companies to abandon the Europe-dominated Brent benchmark is part of a shift of Russia's oil sales towards Asia after Europe shunned Russian oil following Russia's invasion of Ukraine more than a year ago.

Both benchmarks are denominated in dollars and set by S&P Platts, a unit of U.S.-based S&P Global Inc (SPGI.N), but Brent is mostly used by European oil majors and traders, whereas Dubai is heavily influenced by Asian and Middle Eastern oil trading.

Under the new deal, announced on March 29, Rosneft will nearly double oil sales to Indian Oil Corp.

Ministry of Defense: AFU destroyed their own soldiers who surrendered, firing 300 shells at them

MOSCOW, April 6 — RIA Novosti. The Kiev regime deliberately destroys its military personnel in order to prevent attempts to retreat from their positions, the Ministry of Defence said.
So, on April 5, near Avdiivka, units of the Southern Group of Russian troops were active in capturing the enemy's stronghold.
“During the battle, the commander of the unit of the 53rd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was at the strong point, turned to the Russian command via an open radio channel, declaring that his unit of 14 people had voluntarily laid down their weapons and the desire to surrender,” the military department said.
In order for the Ukrainian fighters to be able to safely leave, the Russian military suspended hostilities. Until the morning, Ukrainian servicemen were placed in a dugout.

"At night, Ukrainian artillery purposefully opened heavy fire on the dugout where the surrendered Ukrainian servicemen were located," the Defence Ministry added.
In total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired about 300 large-caliber shells. All 14 fighters who laid down their arms were killed.
President Vladimir Putin spoke about this incident today at a meeting with the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin. According to him, the Kiev regime is behaving in the highest degree cynical and cruel in relation not only to the Russians, but also to its citizens.
