A year ago NATO's Allied Command Transformation (in Norfolk, Virginia) listed nine NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Headquarters in Europe, each of which has 60,000 strike-force troops assigned to it; that is, 540,000 troops. One is in Greece and another in Turkey, which helps answer Ritter's meaningless claim that NATO could not get troops to Romania, etc.

Last year the 32-nation Atlantic military bloc held a NATO Response Force (NRF) war game with NRF partners Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Jordan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia and Ukraine.

Three years ago NATO launched Joint Force Command - Norfolk to expedite the deployment of U.S. troops and equipment to Europe and two years earlier the Joint Support and Enabling Command in Ulm, Germany to expedite troops and equipment to the Russian border. The European Union has also adopted a similar collective program to simplify the transfer of combat forces from one end of Europe to the other.
