"Even in Stalin's time there was collective leadership"
An entertaining CIA briefing report on the Soviet Union after Stalin's death.
1) Analysts point out that Stalin was a collective leader, not a dictator, and his role as "one-man power" is greatly exaggerated. This is mainly due to "a lack of understanding in the West of the real nature and organization of the communist power structure".
2) The authors make the assumption that Khrushchev will be the new leader of the USSR. However, they note that Khrushchev clearly does not reach the level of Lenin and Stalin.
3) Based on the second point, it is concluded that "the situation is most favorable for the overthrow of the Communists".

On tools of total control:
Other than usual tools of Imperial expansion, the ones we've seen in the last decade, it is safe to say that the C0r0n4 crisis has been added to this list. The latest, obviously orchestrated, protests in Cuba are just another testament to this. That is, if we do not count the 5 African officials and the president of Haiti who have been assassinated in the last year alone.
Do not kid yourselves - the protests in Cuba are not for "freedom" or "democracy" of any sort. They cry for and demand US Imperial expansion.
