Title: Hodge conjecture
Abstract: Hodge conjecture is one of the major conjectures in complex algebraic geometry which is still unsolved. In this talk I will tell my own experience with this conjecture, why it is hard even in very special cases and what are the implications of this conjecture. The talk is mainly based on my book: A Course in Hodge Theory: With Emphasis on Multiple Integrals, Somerville, MA: International Press Boston, 2021.

Or how about infinite draughts, infinite Hex, infinite Go, infinite Wordle, or infinite Sudoku? Let me introduce these games and use them to illustrate various fascinating concepts in the theory of infinite games.

The Data Science Summer School 2022 is now officially open for registration.
DS3 is a series of workshops on the exciting methods and applications of data science to help navigate in the complex digital world of data today. The Summer School is completely free, available to everyone globally, and organised by the Hertie School Data Science Lab and funded by the Hertie School.
In this iteration, DS3 will deliver five courses on the foundational knowledge of data science, including Python and R programming and the fundamental mathematics essential to the success of data scientists. Three advanced courses will focus on some of the latest development in methods and applications in the field including Generative Adversarial Neural Networks and Transformers architecture.

WICoMB (Workshop on Interdisciplinary Collaborations in Mathematical Biology) is a free two-day, virtual program for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. The program is designed to strengthen participants’ ability to thrive in mathematical biology research and showcase open areas of research. The program will cover a set of the mathematical, computational, and statistical models frequently used in applied research in life and earth sciences. Participants will receive an intuitive overview of the diversity of modern quantitative modeling approaches available.
