Senator Matthew Canavan just got them to admit that Pornhub won't fall under the restrictions provided for by (63C) of the Social Media Minimum Age Bill.

If YouTube is categorized or covered by 63C, returning to Senator Roberts' question, is Pornhub covered? Why wouldn't it be? It's just explicit material, but yes, it's covered, isn't it?
This proves it’s not about protecting kids online.. it’s about using kids as the excuse to push the minimum age bill to enforce biometric identity verification for everyone to ensure you’re over 16!!!

Over 23,000 COVID fines will be withdrawn from the courts and ANYONE who paid a Covid fine will have their money refunded to them.

10.29am - Liberal and Labor have joined hands to pass the Social Media Age Verification Bill in the House of Representatives.
So they’ve voted for a Bill, after allowing the public just 24 hours to make submissions on.
A bill that requires Australians to prove they are 16 or over to log on to social media, but they don’t know how this will be done - and they’ve given that power to the eSafety Commissioner to decide for herself.
And they’ve voted for a Bill based upon amendments which will be made in the Senate, which the public hasn’t seen the detail of.
And they’ve rushed this through on a Bill that doesn’t take effect until 2026.
On first principles - this is a complete abandonment of the Parliamentary standards.
It’s a day of shame for the Liberal Party.

Not sure what this means for me going forward? Government claims they have a workaround for people using a VPS? If that no longer works, I won’t be providing any ID to access my social media? So if that means I won’t be on social media anymore then so be it!!
It's not about kids safety. Government was asked about it stopping kids accessing porn...they don't have to prove age for those websites...just for social media.
More sinister is how it will be enforced through digital id for all required....
