Nicolai Arcadie Muchgian, a 29-year-old programmer who some describe as a co-founder of MakerDAO and an innovator of stablecoins, which include a DAI fork called Rai from Reflexer Labs, was washed away by the ocean currents on the beach behind Ashford Hospital in Condado, police said, according to local media.
Muchgian publicly claimed a few days before his death:
"The CIA, the Mossad and the paedo elite are running a kind of extortion ring for sex trafficking and rape from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands. They will send me a laptop that my ex-girlfriend, a spy, left there. They will torture me to death."
His public tweets are full of references to blackmail, that "you" get what you want through debt or blackmail, although at this stage it is not yet clear whether this is just the general scolding against "you" or whether there is something concrete.
The MuchBetter Bitcoiner Mircea Popescu drowned in Costa Rica in June last year.
