First results will start coming in several hours. From what I can tell, things will be extremely close, it all depends on the turnout. As I said, there will likely be a second round between Pezeshkian & Jalili.

Turnout is on pace for being higher than in 2021 (it was 48% back then), at least by several percentage points. We will probably break 50% by the end of the day.

If the voter turnout continues to rise, especially if it somehow gets above 60%, the chances of Pezeshkian (reformist) winning in the first round increases.

He lost one of his legs during the Holy Defense war against Saddam Hussain's invasion, so he wears a prosthetic leg and has a limp.

He is known for being an extremely hard worker. Here, he is seen sleeping in the back of his car, with his prosthetic leg removed, after coming back from one of his many provincial trips to the villages.
