— 🇵🇰 NEW: Over the past few days, at least 36 Shia Muslims have been killed and 145 injured by TTP terrorists in the town of Parachinar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan

The TTP, or 'Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan', also known as the 'Pakistani Taliban', has been involved in anti-Shia sectarian violence for years, with very little intervention from the Pakistani government.

Some reports claim that hundreds of victims have been killed just in the past five days.

While sectarian motivations certainly play a role, it is important to note that land disputes and inter-tribal conflict also plays a role, and Sunni Muslims have become victims as well, despite Shia Muslims taking the majority of the blows.
