After 51 hours of playtime, I finally crafted my first aluminium in Star Technology!

I played a lot of the original FTB and Tekkit packs back in 1.2.5 but I stopped playing Minecraft when I entered high school. I tried from time to time to get back into modded for the past 10 years with the infamous "2 weeks minecraft fever" that people talk about sometimes but I could never stay long enough to properly enjoy a modpack.

This summer I got the bug again and this time I stuck to it, I played ATM10tts all the way to the ATM Star (stopped just shy of the bee, only did 2 stars, one manual and the other fully automated) and I fell in love with modded minecraft again, I especially liked playing through Modern Industrialization and it made me want to play a true Gregpack.

I was a bit intimidated by GTNH, tried Nomifactory for a bit, but at the end of the day I really prefer skyblock packs so I chose Star Technology and I must say it has been a blast!

It was my first time truly using Create as a focus instead of just an afterthought for the ATM Star and just... Wow. Once I understood how to make it work I got why it's as popular a mod as it is.

Over 50 hours in and I make my first steps into MV by crafting my first aluminium ingot!

I'm feeling pretty proud of myself considering it's my first Gregpack and since I don't have anyone to share this with I decided to make this post. :)

Hopefully it will make any veteran gregger think back to their first time getting into MV too!

Maybe some day I'll make a post about making a Stargate!

A Mojang dev recently stated “we’re doing drops now”. How will this impact modding?

Of course, we’ve already been getting drops for well over a year now. However, the expectation had still been a 1.22 eventually. But 1.22 isn’t even remotely on the horizon now. Devs don’t have the time to version chase new updates for major mods every few months. What will be the tipping point now for version updates? Will the major mods remain on 1.20.1/1.21.1 for the foreseeable future?
