The launch of the Minter main network is not far off, which means it is time for all BIP holders to think about whose node to delegate their coins to. Check out a guest post explaining why one should be attentive to statistics and other indicators of the validator in the testnet.

The U.S. Dollar on the Minter Blockchain
Good news, everyone.
Once the Minter network starts operating, our team will launch an algorithmic stablecoin pegged to the USD. After the coin has gained enough support, it will obtain the same features as all other Minter-based tokens—five-second confirmation times, low transaction fees, and exchangeability with BIP and all other currencies issued on the network.
Fixed at $1 apiece and easy to understand for everyone, this coin will be the Minter network’s main point for entry and exit.

Tendermint has finished development and is now undergoing the final code audit (https://cosmos.network/roadmap).
We have also finished working on the Minter blockchain core. There are two Testnets ahead: the first will introduce adjustments to the mempool logic, and the second will be the final one running on Tendermint v1.0. After the final Testnet has been operating stably for a few weeks, we will launch the Mainnet. 🚀

“I will transfer it to your account”—this phrase is heard more and more often and can compete with the question about the availability of a store’s bonus card that a buyer gets asked when making certain purchases. Applications for smartphones have enabled many people to make money transfers in a few clicks without being physically present in a bank. Modern financial enterprises organize development teams to create mobile banking solutions and wallets accessible to all users. DeCenter compared two online funds transfer applications: Blockchain.info and BIP Wallet. We want to clarify that it is the functionality of the programs that is under review, their simplicity, accessibility, and speed of work regardless of monetary units.

Weekly Community Update (February 8, 2019)
🚀 This week, the blockchain has escaped gravity and leaked away into space! Over the past few days, the network has processed more than 25 million transactions, and we have already located the weak spots and started to actively work on improvements. Despite the overload of individual elements, the blockchain has completed its tasks and continues stable operation.
We would also like to highlight the fact that such an attack would cost an intruder $500,000 in transaction fees alone. We expect to have such a load no earlier than one year after the main network’s launch; however, we are committed to running tests in order to be prepared for all scenarios.
Thank you for your support and understanding! Below is the list of changes we’ve made this past week:
• Optimized the display of transactions and blocks under the network load in Explorer and fixed a few minor bugs;
• Eliminated the problem with stuck transactions in the mempool;
• Added the display of multi-transactions in Explorer;
• Increased the maximum size of transaction data threefold;
• Resolved a few issues in iOS and Android applications.
Stay tuned!

Weekly Community Update (February 15, 2019)
🧬 This week, we have been primarily focused on improving the blockchain. As soon as Monday, we will launch a new Testnet, the most interesting one so far.
Validators will receive test coins in the amount of BIPs requested by their pools. All participants will have the opportunity to test the distribution and delegation of coins in conditions close to those of the main network. Some other updates include:
• Adding the display of multi-transactions in Explorer
• Fixing a couple of bugs in iOS and Android apps,
• including minor issues in the Send Coins section (iOS) and Conversion section (Android)
• Resolving a problem with the incorrect nonces
• Increasing Telegram bot’s stability. With the new version of Testnet, you will not be able to use the bot, nor other applications, for requesting test coins, as we will be simulating the coin distribution through pools and the Early Access Dashboard.
Stay tuned!
P.S. Please feel free to reach out if you have any ideas or suggestions: @MinterIdeaBot

We have successfully launched a new Testnet!
In the simulation of a genesis block, we have credited test coins to the pools that provided their address. At the moment, we are also working on the distribution mechanism for coins that have been purchased individually, as well as bonuses and airdrops. You will be able to request them through Early Access Dashboard at some point this week.

Weekly Community Update (March 1, 2019)
🚀 Cheers! That was a lot of good news from developers in one week. Every day we are inching closer toward a big launch, so make sure to fasten your seatbelts! What’s changed since last week?
• Having taken into account the data obtained from the latest testnet, we released a new, refined version of the blockchain.
• We listened to user feedback—for which we are really, really grateful—on our SDK and API and made changes accordingly.
• The web version of our BIP.to wallet has become even more easy-to-use and a bit more visually appealing.
• We also rolled out a minor Explorer upgrade today. But bigger changes are yet to come.
• Last but not least, we made further updates to iOS and Android apps aimed to improve computation algorithms and general stability.

Minter mainnet is coming
Minter mainnet launch is directly connected to the start of the Cosmos Hub as both projects rely on a stable work of Tendermint Core. After a few years of hard work on the project development, audits, and tests, the Cosmos Hub mainnet is finally ready to launch! It is scheduled to go live on March 13, 2019, at 11:00 PM GMT.
Our team is also putting the finishing touches on launching the Minter network. We are closely following the updates from the Cosmos team and plan to start the Minter mainnet within 30 days after the Cosmos Hub has taken off. 🚀

#Community_Update. Week 6
👩🚀 Last week, the Cosmos blockchain was launched. It is this ecosystem that Binance Chain and Minter Network will become part of. Within the first 24 hours, the price of ATOM—the network’s native digital currency—skyrocketed more than 70 times on the OTC (over-the-counter) market. Speaking of Minter, we set May 1 as the deadline for the mainnet launch, so it’s time for you to think what to do with your coins right from the start!
Below is the list of changes we made last week:
• Upgraded the testnet blockchain and resolved a few issues
• Moved Explorer and data processing services to new, more powerful servers
• Enabled caching for status methods to improve the operation of external services
• Updated the iOS and Android wallets and switched them to the latest version of Explorer

Minter Development Foundation
The Minter Development Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “MDF”) has been registered in the U.S., the news that we have been working for months to hear. The company will become the legal entity responsible for the development of the Minter network, representing our shared interests in the real world.
The MDF has no shareholders and does not make a profit on its operations. It is the most independent organization form that is overseen by the elective board. The board will be elected by the top validators in terms of own stake. The MDF financing will come from transaction fees and a 10-percent tax on block rewards—the concept we previously referred to as the Developers’ DAO.
The MDF is the legal entity of the DAO.
We aimed to establish the MDF in the U.S. as it is the world’s largest and most developed crypto market that has made the most progress in the legislative field.
After the launch of the network, the current team of Minter will start the process of transferring intellectual property rights to the MDF. Access to the key websites, applications, and other critical elements of infrastructure will follow the same scenario. The more independent the Minter Development Foundation is, the better the objective of decentralizing the system in real life is achieved.
Below are the main goals of the MDF:
– Popularization of the Minter network
– Development of the network in key directions
– Support of the Minter-based projects, including grant aid programs
We want to stress once again the fact that the MDF will be entirely financed from the 10-percent tax. The allocation will be carried out by the board members elected by the top validators. Delegators elect validators, validators elect board members, and board members decide how to develop the network and what steps to take.

#Weekly Community Update (March 25, 2019)
🛰 “Houston, this is Explorer, copy.”
For the past few weeks, we have been actively working on a major update, and last Friday, we rolled out Explorer 2.0. In the latest release, we paid a lot of attention to the details and improved the stability and correctness of data display. The majority of issues discovered during load testing were related to the Explorer, so we focused our efforts on this particular part of the ecosystem. Now, what has changed with the recent update?
– No more inaccurate data. We fixed all the problems causing Explorer to occasionally perform incorrect calculations.
– We concentrated on optimization, and the new Explorer works perfectly at any load, just like our blockchain. 💪
– In addition to the technical part, we also optimized the interface and added more information about transactions and blocks.
– Resolved a couple of SDK-related issues.
– Have already integrated the new version of Explorer into our iOS & Android apps and the Telegram bot.
