Scientists from the National Laboratory of Biomimetic Solutions for Diagnosis and Therapy (LANSBIODYT), from the UNAM Faculty of Sciences, in a biosensor that detects cases of COVID-19 quickly, massively and cheaply. The objective of this is to be able to carry out up to 43 tests per plate in its detection in a maximum time of 90 minutes, without the need for readers, infrastructure or sophisticated machines as is currently the case. Similarly, the team led by Tatiana Fiordelisio and Mathieu Hautefeuille, intend to implement it in hospitals and laboratories anywhere in the country in the following weeks.
