A mother was asked:
How did you make your kid addicted/inclined to learning? My kid doesn't listen to me and plays on the phone.
She answered:
Kids don't listen to us.
Rather, they become like us (resemble us).
That's why, if you are following this Dīn that Allāh gave us, your kids will become like that as well, following the Dīn. If you are doing nothing useful/beneficial, doing harām, not following the Dīn or not knowing it, not having beautiful courtesy/politeness or doing worship, then your kids will become like that as well. They will be in the dark (ignorant) not knowing what is and isn't halāl. Learn the Dīn and follow it. You will find, in this life, joy, ease and solace in every way (possible). Not only will it be useful/beneficial for yourself, but for your kids too, in shā Allāh.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

✒ Make Duʿā For Your Parents
Prophet Muḥammad (Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam) said:
إن الرجل لترفع درجته في الجنة فيقول : أنى لي هذا ؟ فيقال : باستغفار ولدك لك
“Indeed a man's status is raised in Jannah and he asks: ‘Where did I get this from?’, so it is said to him: ‘By your child seeking forgiveness (of Allāh) for you’.”

The Amazing Story of Uwais Ibn ʿĀmir Al-Qaranī from Yemen and the Prophet’s (ﷺ) Praise of him for his Good Treatment of his Mother.
Uwais Al-Qarani (may Allah’s mercy be upon him) was alive during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) but he was not able to meet him because he lived in Yemen and remained there caring for his mother, and did not leave her side. He is considered to be from the Tābiʿeen,
a worshipper, unconcerned with the world (zāhid), a beloved waliyy of Allah – he was honoured by the Sahābah due to the saying of the Prophet (ﷺ) concerning him. He died in 37 AH at the Battle
of Siffeen on the side of ʿAlī Ibn Abī Tālib (radiyallāhu ʿanhu).
The Hadeeth
Usayr Ibn Jābir narrated that when the delegation of support from Yemen arrived ʿUmar Ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) asked them: “Is Uwais Ibn ʿĀmir among you?” He continued asking until he came upon Uwais.
So, he said: “Are you Uwais Ibn ʿĀmir?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Are you from the people of Murād, and then Qaran?” He said: “Yes.” ʿUmar asked him: “Did you suffer from leprosy and then you were cured from it except for the size of a dirham?” He said: “Yes.”
ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: “You have a mother?” He said: “Yes.”
ʿUmar said: “I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) say:
‘There will come to you Uwais Ibn ʿĀmir with reinforcements from the people of Yemen. He is from the people of Murād, and his branch is the Qaran tribe. He had been suffering from leprosy from which he was cured except for the size of a dirham. He was good and dutiful to his mother. If he were to take an oath in the name of Allah, Allah would fulfil it. So if you are able to ask him to seek forgiveness for you from Allah, then you should do so.’ ʿUmar (radiyallāhu ʿanhu) said to him: ‘So seek forgiveness for me.’ So Uwais supplicated for forgiveness for ʿUmar.
ʿUmar (radiyallāhu ʿanhu) said to him: “Where do you intend to go?” Uwais said: “To Kufah.” ʿUmar said: “Let me write a letter for you to the governor of Kufah.” Uwais (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: “I prefer to live amongst the poorest of people.”
The next year, a person from the nobles of Kufah performed Hajj and he met ʿUmar (radiyallāhu ʿanhu). He asked him about Uwais (rahimahullāh). He said: “I saw that he was living in a tattered old house with little means of sustenance.” Upon that, ʿUmar said: “I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying: ‘There will come to you Uwais Ibn ʿĀmir with reinforcements from the people of Yemen. He is from the people of Murād, and his branch is the Qaran tribe. He had been suffering from leprosy from which he was cured except for the size of a dirham. He was good and dutiful to his mother. If he were to take an oath in the name of Allah, Allah would fulfil it. So if you are able to ask him to seek forgiveness for you [from Allah], then you should certainly do so.'”
So the nobleman came to Uwais in Kufah and said:
“Seek forgiveness for me.” Uwais (rahimahullāh) replied:
“You have just come from a righteous journey (of Hajj), so you should seek forgiveness for me.” The nobleman said: “Seek forgiveness [from Allah] for me.” Uwais (may Allah show him mercy) repeated: “You have just come from a righteous journey (of Hajj), so you should ask Allah to forgive me.”
Then Uwais said: “Did you meet ʿUmar?” He said: “Yes.” So, Uwais supplicated to Allah for forgiveness for him. Then the people came to know about Uwais and his status – so he left and went away from that town. Usayr (rahimahullāh) said: “His clothing consisted of a cloak, and whosoever saw him said: ‘From where did Uwais get this cloak?’“
The hadeeth was reported by Muslim, no. 2542.

Women and children in mosque
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
I never prayed behind any Imam a prayer lighter and more perfect than that behind the Prophet (ﷺ) and he used to cut short the prayer whenever he heard the cries of a child lest he should put the child's mother to trial.[Bukhari 708]
Imam An Nawawi said: "it is perfectly permissible for women to join men in prayers in the mosque and that children may be bought in to the mosque. It is preferable, however that a child who might wet themselves or so foul the mosque should not be brought in. "" [Sharh al Muslim vol 4]
It is mentioned in Al hidaya [hanafi]"attending the congregation is disapproved for them (women) that is the young women due to apprehension of fitnah. There is no harm if the old women go out for fajr, Maghrib and isha. This is so according to Abu Hanifa. "" [ vol 1 page 137]

The Status of Dutifulness to the Mother [Tawbah]
ʿAṭāʾ b. Yasār reports:
A man once came to Ibn ʿAbbās and said, “I proposed to a woman and she refused to marry me, then someone else proposed to her and she wanted to marry him; so I became jealous and killed her. Can I repent from this?” [Ibn ʿAbbās] asked, “Is your mother alive?” He replied, “No.” So he said, “Repent (tawbah) to Allāh the mighty and majestic, and worship him as much as you can.”
ʿAṭāʾ said, “So I went and asked Ibn ʿAbbās, ‘Why did you ask him if his mother was alive?’ He replied, ‘I do not know of any action that brings one closer to Allāh than dutifulness to the mother.'”

A child - without a doubt - is influenced by his father, influenced by his behavior, manners, interaction [with people] and religion; he is the most influenced by his father as was said:
وَ ينْشَأُ نَاشِئُ الْفِتْيَانُ فِينَا عَلَى مَا كَانَ عَوَّدَهُ أَبَوهُ
"A youngster from the youth will grow up amongst us based upon what his father accustomed him to."

Dear Parents who are constantly angry,
Please read this.
Unpopular opinion, but the unhinged/angry/on the edge parents who are always screaming at their children and are constantly angry are the ones who don't invest in me time and prioritize themselves.
They are so depleted all their frustration comes out on their children.
Please as a parent set aside a time to rejuvenate, reset and rest.
This can mean not showing up for other people, taking a mental health leave from job, this can mean asking family to step up to babysit so you can sleep or read a book or get a massage or facial. Whatever helps you calm down and show up with love, patience and compassion for your children - DO IT!
"Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will kill me inside out."
Words hurt ALOT.
Words can traumatize.
How beautiful are the words of the Prophet ﷺ, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent."
The tone you use, your eye stares, you screaming constantly at them will traumatize your children. That's not discipline and that's not how they will listen to you.
You are raising future of this ummah. Make the right choices.
