Alpha III is a continuation of our challenges with the addition of the first end-user wallet features for OST, called Wallet-Lite. The OST Ledger and Balance APIs enable developers to create embedded wallet features that enable end-users to view their token balances and transaction histories. This is an essential step towards making tokenization more real and tangible for mainstream audiences.

Each team will receive 75,000 OST tokens for completing the challenge. The 8 “Best of OST Alpha” teams will earn 250,000 additional OST tokens. 3 of the “Best of” projects will be chosen through community voting.

From ICO Purchasers to Token Utility

Many of the developers participating in OST alphas have been with OST from the beginning, as participants in the Simple Token ICO last year. So far we have discovered more than a dozen ICO purchasers who are already developing on OST. Today these developers are staking OST-a on testnet to power their Branded Token integrations. Soon they will stake OST on mainnet.

Best of Alpha III Community Vote: New Round

While we are thrilled to see so many people participate in the voting, we noticed some projects received an unrealistic amount of votes compared to the number of video views on YouTube.

We decided to reset all the votes and to organize a new round of voting, meaning all projects will start with zero votes to ensure each Alpha III projects gets a fair chance with the new voting method - Facebook Login and Captcha.

The new Best of Alpha III Community Vote starts today at 3 pm UTC and will run until Friday 24 August 2018, 1 pm UTC.
