Only 50 people showed up at the protest vigil outside of city hall and organizers report that city council doesn't seem to think there is community will behind the budget cuts to the Philly police...

We know this is just not true.

Request list as of 1am: tents, sweatshirts, diabetic testing kits, batteries, small coolers to help with cooling perishable foods. They want to be able to keep more proteins and cook things but they don’t have a way to keep perishables safe.

Seems there was a late night budget meeting. According to the Inky, the "cuts" everyone will be bragging about today are made up of a) not giving them and increase and b) moving crossing guards and public safety officers to the managing director.

So it's a shell game.
