OctoGram updates are temporarily suspended to allow us to focus on developing and implementing new features and fixing any bugs.

This decision was made to offer you an increasingly complete and satisfying experience with our client. We ask for a little patience and understanding during this period of pause.

You can now choose to show icons of users who wrote the last post next to their name. The option is on by default, but you can manage it at Settings => OctoGram Settings => Appearance => Show user icons in chats list.

You can now conveniently export your OctoGram settings! Send them to a secure chat, such as your saved messages, to import (through granular selection) what you need when you need it! More details in Settings => OctoGram Settings => Export settings.

👀 In addition, you can also now choose to reset your OctoGram settings. This is an irreversible operation if you do not make a backup first, but should you need to you can find it here: Settings => OctoGram Settings => Reset settings.

Now you can add, in the search phase, a filter to have a more precise search. Choose from: 🖼 Photos, 📷 Videos, 🎤 Voice messages, 📷 Video messages, 👁 Files, 🎞 Music, 🔗 links and much more.

You can now customize the built-in in-app translation as best you can with new options. More details in Settings => OctoGram Settings => Translator.

Specifically:
- 💪 Mode: choose how the client will make the translated text appear
- 🗺 Provider: choose which provider will handle the translation of the message
- 📁 Formality: choose how formal the translated text should be (available just with DeepL)
- 👀 Keep formatting: choose whether to apply formatting to the translated message as well

This feature is under continuous development to make each individual translator as reliable as possible. More providers will soon be available, and it will also be possible to translate a message before it is sent.

You can now choose to activate OctoGram's power-saving mode at the same time as activating power saving on your device. More details in Settings => Power Saving.

Now you can translate any message before sending it by holding down on the send button.

The alternative navigation has been completely revamped and is now fully customizable.

We are working on a complete reorganization of the OctoGram settings menu. Most of the changes are already visible in this stable, others will come in the next version.

The appearance menu is now divided into 3 main sections:
- 👥 Chats: customize the appearance of chats
- 📦 Drawer: customize the appearance of the drawer
- 🍔 Context menu Elements: customize the elements in message's context menu
