Take action for the climate now! (Please do not take this down, humanity needs to take action))

Hey October/LaborX peeps, this is dire. We are in Red Alert mode about climate crisis. We need as many people as we can to sign up, protest, call in phone banks, call and message their senators, leaders, and president. Below are other organizations you can join or help out with, and links that let you know what you can do. This is not to detract from LaborMovementX this is a supplement until this movement gets going.

Please send the following links to as many people as you can:

Legislation introduced to allow student loans to be written off through bankruptcy.

"While some progressive Democrats continue to push the president to cancel student loan debt, there's a bipartisan effort underway to overhaul the student loan system in another way: by making bankruptcy discharges more accessible for student debtors.

If passed, the bill would allow federal student loans to become eligible for discharge in bankruptcy proceedings 10 years after the borrower's first loan payment comes due.

The bill also proposes to increase "institutional accountability" by making colleges that receive federal loans from more than a third of their students "partially reimburse" the Department of Education (ED) if student loans are later discharged in bankruptcy or "if the colleges had consistently high default rates and low repayment rates.""

Student loans aren't part of OctoberStrike but we're part of LabormovementX. If mods feel off topic please remove.

Why the labor strikes are not working, but actually are

As people refuse to come back to work I found it strange that the stock market is at all time highs. I started asking on stock message boards and it turns out companies are more profitable with less people.

The CEO's and stock brokers are actually richer because they just make remaining people do more work.

This is pushing the stock market to all time highs, which is in turn causing Baby Boomers to have much more money in their retirement accounts. Couple this with the media pushing Delta so hard and Baby Boomers are retiring early, causing even more pressure on the labor market.

Per the below article we had the following # of people quit their jobs:

Apr21: 4,000,000

May21: 3,600,000

June21: 3,900,000

Total quits: 11,500,000. Dubbed "The Great Resignation" it is representative of Millennials changing jobs or even career paths.

However there is something more telling. The 3.9M quits in June is only 69% of total job separations.

The other 31%, or roughly 1,750,000 either were let go or fired by their company (unlikelyin a tight labor market), or....

THEY RETIRED 😉😉😉😉😉

A MORAL PROFIT

I work for:
)¡₩ $₩¡+#, a billionaire Landlord & (developer, senior care), who sits on top of a bank in "Ellis Island for slaves" town, USA.

He was a rural white man who became a local millionaire. He took a Deutsche bank loan in '02 on 3 office buildings in Southwestern VA. Then he "laundered" to billions in 7 years. We must do something!
My Idea:

A MORAL PROFIT.
Capitalism's swan song must be smoothered as it croons. No binary perspective is the answer, nor myopic economic theoriesis.

The answer is recognizing that centralized wealth, enhanced by the absurdity of being a person was animated by Judical Gaslighting: "Money is speech"

These ghosts: not bound to the law as you or I- are enhanced in agency by "limits" in our authority to constrain them. Now Phantoms, conjured by hoarders through money changers- are elevated over any corporeal citizen. These Wraiths are an abomination that outnumber ALL US citizens.

Bind this phantom.

The people are governed without consent by absurdities. Money is NOT speech. Property is NOT a person. They are POWER. Representatives are now the purchased property of maladapted, additction-riddled & metally ill Merchant Tyrants. These morally-deformed Dragons have replaced goveranace with grievance and hedonism, in the marketplace of ideas.

The majorities' voice among its' citizenry is not reflected in crafted law. Minorities subjugate minorities in plain sight.

Majority rule is the natural outcome of self governance. Flocks and herds in nature demonstrate this natural law in visual poetry. The animating principle of our union is overthrown: CONSENT. Minorities of our political body are an enemies to our constitutional order. 51% of a flock governs direction.

Should consent derive from self-governance- we alll (including our Congress) are subjugated. National Security must prevail aganist institutional privlege.

The Economic Tyrant must be shackled to its siblings- completing the Triumvirate of toppled Tyranny: the God Emperor, the Hereditary Monarch and the Dragon Merchant-

... But the Facist Charmer will manifest continually- a by-product of free speech, and the uncertainty of no guiding personal doctrine.

Chain the last tyrant. Stand vigilant against the Charmer. Throw loose the bonds of negligent, morally-deformed hoarders.

Someone out there Please: BE A LUTHER, BE A JEFFERSON, write a letter. Emancipate the human soul from the appetite of addicts.

Craft the words. Bind the ideas with a new animating principle... A MORAL PROFIT.

Someone needs to take up leadership of this movement

The original organizers couldn't help but in fight and tried to destroy the movement as a result. We need somebody to take the lead. We need Twitter, we need a coherent presence. Someone good at memes. I also think the strike should be only for one day. We don't have the momentum for an indefinite strike. But we can absolutely handle one day.

@Octoberstrike
This Movement Is Too Idealistic

There's a lot of issues with this movement that I've seen so far. Lack of leadership, lack of transparency, lack of members and activity, etc.

But honestly the biggest reason I think this movement is going to fail is because of how literally NO ONE wants to take any of the valid criticism presented. For example: we have no active union support. This is necessary for ANY strike, because how are you going to prevent people from getting fired? For a lot of people, their jobs are their entire LIVELIHOOD. They can't just upend everything they've worked for to participate in some grassroots strike organized by some children. Some people have families, and they can't lose a job because they have to support it.

The lack of organization and transparency is outright appalling. The fact that the subreddits (yes, there's fucking TWO) are supposed to just redirect people to the Discord is a nightmare. If that's the case, then how come it's practically impossible to actually FIND the Discord? From what I can see, the discord isn't even linked on either of the subreddits. At least do a pinned message so we can fucking find it.

I don't trust any of the "leaders" of this movement. They've refused to answer a lot of questions, and won't even disclose any of their previous experience with other strikes.

Why is there two subreddits? It just makes it so confusing. Changing names just as the movement is gaining steam is a really quick way to confuse new members. It just makes the organizers look immature and unprepared.

Speaking of preparation, why did we choose a date to strike that's two months away before we got the necessary support? Barely anyone knows about this (there's a little over 5.5 thousand members on this subreddit and who knows how many people are on the Discord), and two months isn't nearly enough to get union support and support of the general working class. The date should have been next year at least. Why not Black Friday 2022. That would have given us over a year to organize, and it would take place when EVERYONE is going out shopping and buying. We would be a lot more visible if we didn't show up to work on the business day of the year.

Honestly, the thing I hate the most about this is just all the idealism. I want this to work just as much as the rest of you do because I'm fucking tired of being a wage slave and not being able to provide for my family in the future. But the way things like these work is by taking criticism into account and LISTENING to what people have to say instead of just going "well what are YOU doing to help" or "you're just a NAYSAYER". A lot of the people have valid criticisms and worries about this movement, but oftentimes they just get shut down and treated like they don't want this movement to succeed.

We need to get our shit together.

@Octoberstrike
And so begins the subterfuge.

OK, this is gonna be a long one but well there is alot to cover.
Let's start with what this is.
This is not a movement. It is not a protest to air a grievance to congress.
This is not a March or a sit in.
Stop overcomplicating a simple strategy.

What this is is a coordinated statement.
We cannot do this expecting any sort of legislation or
Help from the fed.
Don't think our elected officials will suddenly back the workers over lobbyists and their lifestyle.
We can however expect alot of pandering by them but nothing actually done.
Companies in this country are held to specific boundaries over employment.
But outside of that they each make their own decisions concerning how the business is ran.
And no one can make them change that so long as it is within said boundaries.
If anyone works at a place that doesn't adhere to these
Laws they don't need a strike, they need an attorney.

This brings us to the next thing.
Leadership.
I see alot of posts concerning the lack of or poor leadership.
A scenario like this does not require a centralized
Command.
In fact it Is detrimental to the cause.
All it will do is provide a target for anyone trying to
Dissolve this quickly.
And no group can possibly be able to stay on top of this large of a thing.
Something on this scale would require layers of structure to maintain order. Layers that would eventually stop at each company.

I previously posted a response about on here and won't go into that much detail but essentially the only way this can work is if it becomes a place by place action.
We do not need anyone to start it for us.
Each company must do it on their own.
That is where the leadership is.
All we need from the core is a set time and this sub.
That's it.
Don't overcomplicate this.
All these posts about teaching people how to strike is redundant.
A strike is a very simple action. Doesn't take alot of experience or knowledge or training.
In fact none.
It is simply get up and walk out.
That's it.
A time has been provided.
A place to go for concerns ,questions , and advice has been provided.
But in the end someone at each place must decide to take charge of letting others know and giving them the sub.
In the end if enough workers are upset at their employment situation and want to better it they will take charge themselves.
This is an individual decision that each person has to make.
If you need to try and talk people into it,
It has already failed.
Or it wasn't necessary to begin with.
Not everybody works for a billionaire.
A large part of the workforce works for a small business. One started by the guy/girl who still runs it.
There is no way to generalize employment in this country. It's not possible.
Therefore a core leadership is useless.
We don't need leaders, we are the leaders.
Yes sounds cliche but happens to be true.
We need to stop viewing this as a national event and start realizing it is an event at a national level.
Truth be told, the only benefit of this at a large scale is
The court of public opinion.
Even if a company has a full walkout does not mean things will automatically change.
At least they don't have to.
Any corporation could easily withstand several weeks of strike and not have to cave.
The reason why this is important is because of publicity.
Publicity they cannot make dissappear.
Also it can affect the stock market.
That is something that will get their attention.
You see the thing is, this cannot work as a strategic attack strategy.
It can only be effective if it happens as a guerilla offensive.
This is an insurgency. Multiple small cells executing their own attack at the same time.

Next, the issue of union support.
For some reason this is a large concern for folks.
Not sure why but I'll put it to bed.
There is no union support because there is no national
Worker union.
Unions operate at a tier level.
There are police unions and auto unions and fucking
Railroad unions etc...
There are even manufacturing and construction unions.
But they only operate
for that specific tier.
To gain their support it would require every union in the country.
And besides if union support would help, why the fuck haven't they been tapped already.
If we are at this stage unions should already be a non factor. If they didn't keep us from getting here they won't help now.
The truth is they aren't actually necessary.
All a union is is a go between for the workers and owners.
Their mediators. Fucking marriage counselors with a history of putting the blame on one spouse for everything.

Just as the leaders we are the unions.
We can effectively inform management of our issues.

Now my last thing.
I have seen alot of idealistic expectations on here.
But very little realistic ones.
That is easy to fix,
What isn't is the amount of differing ones.
I've seen everything from new regulations to
Becoming a universal wage system
To changing to all out socialism.
But what I've noticed mostly is nobody really knows what they actually expect to gain from this.
And no better wages and generalized shit like that isn't an answer or an actual expectation.
It's the same as demanding world peace.
Too vague.
What each cell must do is figure out what exactly their needs are and even a few solutions or at least options to get what they want.
Can't do it on a large scale.
Can't expect an orderly to get the same as a doctor.
We would end up with nothing but orderlies.
Why spend time and money on the extra education when their is no financial need to.
It would put too much in the hands of motives.
And that hasn't worked well for us.

I don't think so much attention needs to be given as to how to do this.
I do think more should be paid to what happens after.
The strike is the easy part.
But without an idea of demands to end it, we will just screw ourselves.

One last thing. The fact that alot of the posts about all the things I went over could very easily be trolls or plants designed to create doubt or fear or reservations.
In fact I'm pretty sure they are. It's a common tactic.
But doesn't change the fact that they are so effective.

The best way to become organized and unified and
Resolved is to become informed and understand what changes to you want in your workplace.
The strike will become your bargaining chip.
One of immense weight.
If you know how to use it.

I will end this with some suggestions.
First, I assume this sub has mods.
I think it would be useful to provide some links
To some legal and government dept. Like dept of labor.
And maybe some union stuff just for shits and giggles.
Also links to nonprofit organizations that could be beneficial.
Personally I think some threads with an occupational lawyer on hand to answer questions and help concerns
Would be the most efficient way.
Have a few sessions and make a faq.
The other ones links should be fine.
And even a q and a where others could field some
Using past experience and knowledge.
The more informed we are the more of a threat we become.
And the chances for real change are raised exponentially.

On that note if there are any questions or need of further explanation about anything I posted
Please feel free to ask.
And if you disagree or just don't like what I said
Try to have an actual rebuttal and not just a long winded
Nuh uh.
I will respond equal to the response.

Open letter from Operation Table Flip

Give me a chance to win you over.

Come see what I'm up to.

I've got big plans.

I intend to conduct a mock trial in front of the capitol building next month to charge our highest leadership with a pattern of malice and dereliction of duty on behalf of every citizen.

Special interests have cultivated a climate of cronyism on capitol hill that has deceived and deprived each of us of faithful representation.

Our leadership serves capital at the expense of labor. And I'm through sitting idly by.

We're going to strike right at the dark heart of our federal government: the genesis and nexus of all injustice we've been made to suffer.

We're going to indict the very structure and fabric of the system itself.

It's a massive project and monumental undertaking.

But I only have the same 24 hr/day as the next person.

I truly cannot do this on my own.

If you want to see mountains moved, you're going to need to grab a pickaxe.

I'll be over here swinging my sledgehammer.

Rally around me and I'll be John Henry up in this mother.

Through our coordination, we can chip away at the workload until our case against systemic tyranny is rock-solid.

This can be crowdsourcing at its best and set an example for further action.

But we have to act quick.

We have one month until Congress is scheduled to return to full session (9/20).

I can't promise this'll work, but I see a unique window of opportunity in the current political climate.

Between the current Covid flare-up & hospital crisis, the eviction moratorium & looming housing crisis, hitting the debt ceiling & impending gov't shutdown, the stock market throwing dangerous signals & the spectre of hyperinflation, and infrastructure bill negotiations hobbled, the last thing Congress needs is us bringing the entire economy to its knees.

They've never been more vulnerable.

If we don't hurry, we'll miss the moment.

And with as few advantages as we've been afforded, it'd be a damn shame to squander it.

Let's leverage The Perfect Storm to swing the balance of power back in our favor.

Let's call for Congress to enact a $30/hr minimum wage through Eminent Domain and/or Civil Asset Forfeiture against the sickest offenders: Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates, and the rest, until we can negotiate a suitable arrangement.

Congress's natural instinct will be to recoil in horror, then balk at the thought of the little guys & gals actually sticking up for themselves.

We need to show them we're not bluffing.

But it's not enough to shout our demands.

We need to plead our case.

We need to justify our cause.

Lay it all out on The Table and make the whole world see the emperor's dong is wide out.

It needs to be succinct and damning testimony that no one from the complacent and distracted masses to the ivory tower elites can deny.

In order for enough of the working class to participate in a general strike, they must feel compelled to it.

We need to convince them it's their civic and patriotic duty to wrest control of our leadership back from the cronies.

We have to show them that day-in and day-out they're being taken advantage of and cheated.

And that every single laborer deserves so much more than they've been led to believe.

Understand I'm working like a demon on this effort.

I don't have time to bark orders.

I need you all to organize amongst yourselves and distribute the workload.

There's no shortage of work to be done.
