Hey, I just recently found this sub. Seems like the strike tomorrow has been in the works for months, does anyone know where to find info on what locations it's primarily happening in and what the estimated turnout is? Also is there an updated list of demands?

How many people participated today?

No gatherings were organized to show our numbers and every company tracks its own own call outs separately, so there's no way for anyone to know how many people participated today.

Don't expect the media to report any numbers today because there's no way for them to see how many people participated either. We didn't organize in a way that gathers attention. Companies aren't going to share how many people called out and make themselves look weak.

That being said, I do know that at least 5 people in my department called out today.

What about the rest of you here? How many participated and what were the numbers where you worked? Is this a cause worth fighting for or did we give up?

Any strike not backed by Unions is worthless. Today was proof of that. All the strikes in the recent news are unions.
