🔴بدلیل شرایط پندمی کووید-۱۹ و پوزیشن‌های خالی مانده بعد از SOAP در سالهای گذشته، سازمان ملی مچ رزیدنتی تصمیم به اضافه کردن یک راند دیگر به SOAP برای MATCH 2021 گرفته است.

The Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP) is the process during Match Week for the Main Residency Match whereby positions left unfilled after the matching algorithm has been processed are offered to eligible, unmatched and partially matched applicants through a series of offer rounds. Since the 2017 Match, SOAP has included three offer rounds; however, because of the increasing number of unfilled positions that have remained at the end of SOAP in recent years and the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming application and Match season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NRMP has decided to add an additional, fourth offer round to the SOAP process.

The additional SOAP offer round will begin at 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday of Match Week and end at 2:00 p.m. ET. SOAP will now conclude at 3:00 p.m. ET with the posting of the final List of Unfilled Programs in the Registration, Ranking, and Results (R3) system. Please be aware that all SOAP communication and policies within the Match Participation Agreement will remain in place through the conclusion of SOAP at 3:00 p.m. ET on Thursday of Match Week.

Requirements for ECFMG Certification for 2021 Match

🔴English Language Proficiency Assessment:

Applicants pursuing one of the five pathways for ECFMG Certification in order to participate in the 2021 Match are required to perform satisfactorily on an English language proficiency assessment. All pathway applicants, regardless of citizenship, native language, or medical school language of instruction, must satisfy this requirement.

ECFMG will accept the Occupational English Test (OET) Medicine to satisfy the English language proficiency requirement. The OET Medicine is designed specifically for physicians.
“To meet ECFMG’s requirement, applicants must attain a minimum score of 350 (Grade B) on each of the four measured components of the OET Medicine test: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.”

IMGs who have passed the Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) component of the United States Medical Licensing Examination® and/or are certified by ECFMG do not need to take the OET Medicine.

Pathway applicants who took the OET Medicine on or after July 1, 2018 and attained the minimum passing score on each of the four components do not need to retake the OET Medicine. These applicants will need to inform ECFMG that they have taken the OET Medicine previously and allow ECFMG to access their scores.

To begin the application process, you must go through the ECFMG landing page on the OET website: 🌐Link below🌐 to pre-register.
As part of pre-registration, you will be able to indicate your preferred testing date(s) and the country and city in which you would like to take the test. You also will be able to access information on preparing for the test, scheduling the test, and the overall timetable. After you pre-register, you will be contacted by OET via e-mail with information on your nearest test location and next steps.
Test dates for the OET Medicine are available for ECFMG applicants beginning in 🗓August 2020.

🔻USMLE Step 1 Examination
Step 1 results will be reported as Pass/Fail no earlier than January 1, 2022. All scores for Step 1 exams taken prior to the date of the policy change will continue to be reported using the three-digit numeric score on all USMLE trannoscripts. The USMLE program does not retroactively alter trannoscripts.

❗️طبق آپدیت اخیر USMLE، افرادی که در امتحان USMLE STEP 1 قبل از تغییر گزارش نمره بصورت PASS/FAIL شرکت کنند و گزارش نمره ۳ رقمی بگیرند، بعد از تغییر فرمت گزارش نمره به Pass/Fail، کماکان نمره امتحانشان بصورت ۳ رقمی گزارش خواهد شد.

🔻 یادآوری کنیم که تغییر فرمت گزارش نمره امتحان USMLE STEP 1 به صورت Pass/Fail قبل از January 2022 اتفاق نخواهد افتاد.

FAQ. 24 - I do not qualify for any of the pathways, and I planned to enter the 2021 Match. What do I do?

ECFMG will consider exceptions for individuals in the following limited, circumstances.

🔹 An exception to the eligibility requirements for Pathways 3, 4, and 5 that: applicants have taken or been registered for any USMLE Step or Step Component since January 1, 2018; and that the date of graduation must be on or after January 1, 2018; will be considered if the applicant can demonstrate one of the following:
- Enrollment in an advanced degree program in health care or related degree (e.g., MPH, PhD program)
- Active participation in basic or clinical science-related research
- Current employment as an advanced clinical care provider in a clinical setting in the United States (will require license with no disciplinary action)

🔹 An exception to the eligibility requirement for all pathways that applicants have taken or been registered for any USMLE Step or Step Component since January 1, 2018 will be considered if the applicant can demonstrate significant, substantive barriers that prevented these activities or delayed completion of the ECFMG certification process. Examples of barriers that may be acceptable include a requirement for military service, displacement due to refugee status, documentation of major medical issue (applicant or immediate family member), and academic pursuits.

🔻If you believe you qualify for an exception based on the limited circumstances above, you will be able to submit your request for exception as part of the pathway application process when it becomes available. Requests for exception will not be considered in advance of application, and there is no guarantee that such requests for exception will be granted.

🔻If you are ineligible for the pathways and the limited exceptions for the 2021 Match, you should monitor the ECFMG website, since we are developing longer-term plans for applicants to future Matches. In the interim, you can continue to pursue other requirements for ECFMG Certification, such as passing Step 1 and Step 2 CK.

در پادکست U.S. Visa در خصوص waive کردن قانون ۲سال ویزای J-1 بحث Statement of No Need ویا No objection Letter از طرف کشور مبدا مطرح شد. در پادکست به اشتباه اشاره شد که این نامه جز مدارک لازم برای waive کردن قانون‌۲سال ویزای J-1 کلینیکال یا همان رزیدنتی/فلوشیپ در امریکاست. این عبارت صحیح نیست. درواقع، No objection letter برای رفع قانون ۲سال ویزای J-1 زمانی قابل استفاده است که فرد بعنوان پزشک دوران رزیدنتی/فلوشیپ را در امریکا روی ویزا نگذرانده باشد، و این پزشکان از همان ۳راه مطرح شده در پادکست (کار در مناطق محروم امریکا، بحث هاردشیپ و پناهندگی) می‌توانند قانون ۲سال را waive کنند.
این نامه و مسیر برای سایر موارد ویزای J-1 که به دنبال رفع قانون ۲سال هستند می‌تواند استفاده شود.

باعرض پوزش بدلیل این‌ اشتباه، برای اطلاع بیشتر می‌تواند به وبسایت وزارت خارجه امریکا درخصوص قوانین J-1 مراجعه نمایید.

📃No Objection Statement:

Your home country’s government must issue a No Objection Statement. Specifically, its Embassy in Washington, DC must issue the statement.  It must state your government has no objection to you not returning to your home country to satisfy the two-year home-country physical presence requirement and no objection to the possibility of you becoming a U.S. lawful permanent resident.
The Embassy must send the No Objection Statement to the Waiver Review Division. (Note: The Embassy cannot provide it to you to submit.) Contact the consular section in your home country’s embassy in Washington, DC to make this request.
Alternatively, a designated ministry in your home government may issue the No Objection Statement. The ministry would then send it to the U.S. Chief of Mission, Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy within that country. The U.S. Embassy would then forward it directly to the Waiver Review Division.

🔴Note: U.S. law does not permit foreign medical physicians who acquired J-1 status on or after January 10, 1977, to receive graduate medical education or training to request waivers under this basis.
