HackAtom India is already one of the largest Blockchain/Crypto hackathons of 2020 in India, and is bringing together hundreds of developers to build interoperable and scalable projects.
As we enter into the final phase of the hackathon, we will be seeing more and more activity from the developers. We are really excited to see new trend-setting dapps coming out of this hackathon.

HackAtom India is in full swing. 1,000+ talented devs from across India have joined forces to kick-start the Indian Cosmos ecosystem whilst competing for $10,000 in prizes.
The hackers are BUIDLing DeFi projects, interoperable applications, and developer tools using Cosmos’ technology stack and modules. The talent on display so far has been incredible!
We’ve decided to extend the deadline of HackAtom India to October 11th, to allow the developers to finish perfecting their awesome solutions. Upon the deadline, the unenviable task of deciding the winners falls to the following judges:
• Billy Rennekamp — Grants Manager, Interchain Foundation
• Sahith Narahari — Software Engineer, Tendermint

Calling all stakers! Introducing Persistence StakeDrop: 1,000,000 XPRT tokens up for grabs!🔥
As we prepare to launch our public token sale of XPRT (Persistence tokens), we wanted to give the PoS network communities a chance to secure some XPRT in advance, simply for supporting their favourite networks via staking!
We will be distributing 1% of the total XPRT token supply (1,000,000 XPRT) to StakeDrop participants. Everyone staking with any validator on the following networks during the StakeDrop campaign will be eligible to participate:

For India’s emerging community of blockchain enthusiasts, projects like Cosmos and Persistence have strong appeal. Interoperability platforms, in particular, encourage collaboration over competition. This in turn fuels innovation and with it, opportunity.
The Cosmos India community has grown from a handful people to more than 1,000 participants in less than nine months.

Persistence is a strong advocate of interoperability and the Indian blockchain ecosystem. We work closely with developer groups and institutions in India to drive mass adoption of blockchains, with a major focus on Cosmos. Efforts include hosting meetups, conducting education campaigns, and hackathons.
This includes HackAtom India, at which we recently showcased the Cosmos tech stack to Indian developers and assisted them to build a variety of solutions using Cosmos' modular tools.
We're thrilled to see our efforts having the desired effect! The interoperable blockchain movement in India is gaining momentum and platforms like Cosmos and Persistence are leading the way.
