How's life like in Lima in 2023?
Hey there, Reddit pals! I'm a 26-year-old from Wales, living life with my Ecuadorian wife and our cheeky twin daughters (3 years old) and a little lad (6 months old).
I work online, pulling in around 70k a year, and the missus isn't far behind with 50k. We're thinking of making a big move to Latin America or Africa and have narrowed it down to a few options but I want to talk about Lima specifically here
I have a list of criteria:
Nature, Parks, Forests, Mountains: We're nature lovers at heart. Give us greenery, parks, forests, and mountains any day, and we'll be in our element (most of those cities have nature hence why I chose them)
Green Spaces Over Crowded Cities: Cities that feel like a sardine can? Not for me. I crave open spaces and dislike feeling cramped, so no thanks to Cairo or Mumbai vibes.
Safety: Safety first, always. We want to avoid cities on a downward spiral. It's not just about now; it's about what's coming in the years ahead.
Country's Future: Looking for a place that's on the upswing with new projects, economic growth, and a promising future.
Weather: I'm not built for hot, humid weather. Anything consistently above 28 degrees for months on end is a solid no from me.
The housing front's looking decent – sold the family homestead in Wales for a cool 700k pounds (about 880k in American dollars). Now, we're eyeing a house in the 300-600k range. I don't mind a good drive, so that's not a deal-breaker.

Situación de robo
Supongamos que estás en un paradero poco transitado o algún lugar con muy poca/cero gente. Un pata agarra y te dice: compare una monedita/ tienes hora causa?, Etc. Firme qué se debe hacer para evitar que te roben o salir lo mejor posible de esa situación? Aclaro que no es un cogoteo o ya la fase violenta y agitada, sino la amenaza caleta inicial pre-robo.

Por qué a los hombres les gustan las flakas tóxicas o las que los harán cachudos?
Lo mismo con las mujeres, supongo que es cuestión de físico xd o dinero o sexo pero me impresiona que los hombres se guíen mucho más de cosas físicas que de otra cosa, las mujeres ven tb que las traten bien o les sirvan para más cosas que sexo 😂

hello!! i literally have no idea where to start with this. i was thrifting and found this amazing sweater in north Texas, and wanted to know its origin. was talking about this with my therapist and she said that it might be made by indigenous Peruvians! ¿Cómo iniciar en el gym?
Hola, soy un chico de poco más de 1,9 metros y peso más de 90 kilos (la última vez que me pesé fue hace un año y pesaba algo de 93). La cosa es que me siento pesado muchas veces y algunas ropas, como camisas, pollos, shorts y pitillos no me quedan como me gustaría. Actualmente, he empezado una rutina de ejercicio de cardio por 45 minutos y una hora y quince de salto de soga (2 horas de ejercicio en total), pero no sé si me de los resultados que quiero.
Tengo que decir que no es mi primera vez haciendo ejercicio, anteriormente ya he hecho varias rutinas:
1. La de Saitama: Si, parece ridiculo, pero hice las 100 sentadillas, 100 abdominales, apenas 30 flexiones y unos minutos corriendo. Resultado: En 1 año, baje como 18 kilos (Logré pesar 73 kilos con 1,86 m). Lo dejé la rutina porque empecé a ir a la academia y ya no me alcanzaba tiempo.
2. Rutinas de ejercicio por una hora: Lo hice solo un verano. Baje unos 2 kilos tal vez.
3. Rutina de ejercicio por una hora: Lo hice por unos 2 meses en mis vacaciones de uni. No aumente mi peso.
Con todo esto, ¿debería ir a un gym o quedarme con mi rutina actual? Y si me recomiendan ir al gym ¿cómo empezar, cómo combatir el miedo de las burlas y algún gym recomdable cerca a Av. Los Olivos en SMP? Agradezco los que tomaron su tiempo en leer.

Ways to report a business
I recently stayed in a hostel that was falling apart and was run by someone who kicked people out for anything that annoyed him. I am curious what the laws are regarding running a hotel in the Cusco area, can he just kick people out because he wants to? Are there building codes that he isn't following that an inspector could be called out to look at? He is from the USA and he quoted the US constitution to me like it applied to his establishment in Peru so I want to be a little petty in my response but I am unfamiliar with local laws and agencies. Thanks!
