The draft, which was in effect from 1940 to 1975, was to fill slots that were not filled by regular recruiting. The amount at any given time needed depended on how many volunteers would show up.

You would get a draft notice with a date and location to appear. All your affairs had to be in order as if you could not provide an adequate reason for deferment you leave directly for basic training. Men would lose jobs, houses, cars, etc, as they wouldn't be able to make payments with that new E-1 private salary. This is a major issue that would have to be addressed that I have not heard brought up by anyone pushing for the draft.

I would assume that this process would happen at MEPS (military entrance and processing station). MEPS's purpose is, in part, to turn away potential recruits. ASVAB, physical fitness, medical suitability, and legal issues are all things that they screen for. The majority of the population at risk of receiving a draft notice would be turned away at this stage. We live in an incredibly unhealthy society and the system, if it even acknowledges this will certainly not move to solve that problem.

The whole MEPS process takes a couple of days. They put you up in a hotel in whatever town you happen to be in, and you can just walk out.

Outside of every base, they will have to implement an active military police patrol again, restrict off-base liberty, and not allow civilian attire, and require servicemen to carry leave papers on them at all times like in the old days. Additionally, anyone who has been an NCO in the past decade knows that the way the Army handles hazing charges any drafted private could jam up a command by crying hazing, and with the internet you best believe dudes will be sharing the best ways to juke the system with a quickness.

To reinstate the draft would require a reorientation of the military and society at large to implement.

Tldr you're not getting drafted because doing so would break the Army.

This is why I was always against beards in uniform. The guys who pushed the hardest for them always ended up growing some Joe Dirt looking scraggly shit. Like this looks like the kinda guy who would try and sell you blatantly stolen power tools at a gas station.

Tbh if your fat you should be ashamed, fix yourself

Think of the decline of Western civilization like a fight you’re training for. If someone called you and told you that in the future you would be confronted by an individual of great strength and ability and you would have to fight him, you would probably begin some kind of training. You might arm yourself, you would take steps to be ready.

The decline of our civilization is going to be a multigenerational affair. The assets you possess, the skills you pass down, the preparation you set up for, will decide if your line continues or not. If your children thrive, survive, or perish.

You don’t have time to learn and pass on everything you need to know. From hand to hand combat, physical fitness, nutrition, academic skills to pass down, finance, etc.

There is no way to master all of these things, you have to make choices about which things to focus on without completely neglecting any of them. The cost for not learning enough about the wrong thing could be severe. The cost of not preparing sufficiently could be watching your family suffer.

You don’t have time to waste. Train, learn, pass on, organize repeat.
