Women do not belong in combat, full stop. The Marines spent years studying the effectiveness of gender integration, and all they could find in favor of it was that females have generally less disciplinary issues (this is not true btw men just bring them up on charges less). Sergeant Major Justin D. LeHew (hell of a guy, look him up) led the program and almost lost his career when he called out the SECNAV for putting political dog & pony shows over combat effectiveness and the lives of Marines. It can be difficult to find, but if you can find his written rebuttal, I would highly recommend reading it.
