Another warning about the May 2025 security patch!
If you're manually installing this update using a package of factory images (i.e. bootloader.img, radio.img, images.zip), be smart! Do NOT reboot until you've flashed it to both slots!

That means you should NEVER use either fastboot reboot or adb reboot to reboot your device, or force it to reboot for any reason, until you're finished using other commands to flash the new update to both slots.
Otherwise, you risk rebooting into the April 2025 (or older) bootloader and will have no choice but to either wait for us to have an unbrick solution, or call Google and be ready to waste money on getting it repaired by them.

If you're broke like us and either ignored this warning or it's too late, come join the first place that will know about leakable unbrick solutions :()

I repeat, DO NOT attempt to flash manually modified bootloader partitions to your Pixel! Including other "unknowns" like the DPM partition or the devinfo partition, which follow the same structure as the bootloader partitions!

These files not only have their own hashes that you need to watch out for, they are signed using Google's private keys which we cannot legally obtain!

Attempting to flash a manually modified bootloader WILL BRICK your phone. And as we just learned, attempting to flash a manually modified DPM will cause your phone to become unresponsive for a scary amount of time before EUB mode functions.

Just for the sake of updating anyone who might be concerned about the lack of updates recently - let me be clear it's not me, it's Google.

There are currently no kernel sources published for any of the A16 QPR1 releases. I got away with this on Beta 1/1.1 as the latest build of Neutrino remained compatible. However, as of Beta 2 the kernel no longer boots, and until Google uploads their sources there is nothing I can do about it.

I'm just going to hang back on Beta 1.1 for as long as is feasible and hope that they get their shit together sooner rather than later, but I realize that just isn't going to be a tenable solution for most of you.

I opened an issue about this situation today, in an attempt to get some attention on the matter, so if you guys want to +1 and/or make some noise in the comments that'd be great:

Bottom line, they are obligated to make kernel sources available for all publicly released software and failing to do so is a major concern.
