Frustrated with poor signal on your Pixel 6? Here's a way to solve it
Android Police
So some Pixel 6 owners updated their phone to the latest December update but found out that the phone is having mobile signal reception issues. Google later have explained that it's not due to the wrong region builds being installed, and they are currently investigating the cause of the issue.
For now, someone on Reddit have found out that installing Google Carrier Services app beta version seems to fix the issue. He said he have also try other SIM card to fix but apparently it doesn't do the job until he updated the Carrier Services app to the beta version.
Other Pixel 6 users who have tried his method commented that it worked and they no longer face poor signal strength on their phone. So if you own the device and faced the issue, try install the beta version of the Carrier Services app by Google, link down below.

YouTube Shorts hitting on desktop web feeds
YouTube has been really hard-working on developing YouTube Shorts, and earlier we have showed you the Shorts option is appearing in the sidebar menu on desktop web, now it arriving on page feeds.
You can see that instead of showing timestamp, now it just showed the "SHORTS" wording with the logo on the left side. This is a similar approach to what has been done on the mobile app a few months ago. Currently everyone can see the changes over in Explore > Trending page.
Now on the mobile app, you can hardly access the normal video player for "Shorts" videos. As far as I can see, the only way to access it is to open the video from your watch history, but you know, YouTube will be covering that part soon and making impossible to access the normal video player page for "Shorts" videos.

Google Pixel Watch to come with new Assistant, powered by Exynos chipset

Google Pixel Watch is real and could be launching in Spring 2022. The latest leaks from 9To5Google show us that the watch will come with the new Assistant and use an Exynos chipset.
First, they find out a code mentioned "PIXEL_EXPERIENCE_WATCH," which hints there could be Pixel exclusive features that won't be found on any other WearOS watches. The branding of the watch could be lock into Pixel too.
The next-generation Assistant which debut with the Pixel 4, will be available on the Pixel Watch. With that Assistant, it can perform more actions directly on the watch. When activating it, you will see the iconic four color light bar design with a slight curve (image attached above).
Lastly, the watch is rumored to use Exynos W920 which powered the Galaxy Watch 4 too. The chipset might get rebranded into Google Tensor though.

Chrome is gaining a quick access Downloads button
Android Police
Google is adding a Downloads shortcut on the top right corner of Chrome browser, and seems like they are borrowing Edge feature once again. The feature is first spotted by Redditor Leopeva64.
Soon you will be able to manage all your Downloads over in the toolbar in Chrome. When the browser is downloading files, you will see a blue icon with a circle progress bar (under development for now). After finish downloading, it will show a gray-out hue before disappearing.
The feature could make it appearance on Chrome 99.

Some Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro units are having screen crack issues
Android Police
This is an issue that is reported by many users a few months ago, but just recently being mentioned by the media and here we are. Apparently some Pixel 6 users out there reported their phone has a crack on the front glass.
Users on Reddit and Google's support forum\ had been reporting it back when the phone is first released in a few weeks time. Pixel 6 Pro got a much noticeable and bigger crack since it has a curved screen, some Pixel 6 units out there also appeared to have the same issue too.
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are using Gorilla Glass Victus, it weird that the glass crack easily. It could be probably due to manufacturing defect but Google hasn't provide any information on the issue yet and they are actively investigating it.
So yeah, we hope Pixel 6 users in our community don't face this issue since it only happen for a few.

Android 13 could possibly gains 'Panlingual' feature for per-app language settings
Android Police
You probably preferred to use another language rather than following the system language in some apps, and a good news is Android 13 could make this feature possible for every app.
For now, the development of the feature is in early stage and might subject to change. Anyway, the feature will be implement in “Language & input” or individual "App info" screen as of current findings. You will find option there to change the app interface language there, but yeah, if the app doesn't support the language that you choose, it will just stay at its original language.
Some apps already have their internal language settings which let you do the same thing, but with this feature introducing on Android 13, you can change to use individual language that you preferred on any app.

Pixel 6 December update breaks some devices auto-rotate
Android Police
By this point, I suspect that the December update is adding bugs instead of resolving bugs. Users have been reporting poor connectivity issue and Google themselves disabled Call Screen and Hold for Me in the Phone app due to some issues. And now, even auto-rotate is broken.
Users on Reddit and Google's support forum reported that their phone's accelerometer and gyroscope isn't functioning anymore. They said auto-rotate and automatic horizontal images just isn't working properly for them, and they have no clue what's causing the issue. Android Police's staff also managed to reproduce the issue too.
Some happen to find out a temporary solution, by restarting the phone, all those features get to work once again, but it still randomly break after awhile. The phone seems to be having problems communicating with those few sensors. The issue might get a fix in the next update if Google can noticed it, hopefully.
*There are more issues that are yet to be discovered by the media, and also some of these issues only happened to a few, hope you guys who own the device don't face the issue.
