Chrome's password manager let you add notes for your password
9To5Google
Google Chrome built-in password manager will soon let you add notes to your saved passwords.
The feature is first spotted by Redditor u/Leopeva64. When editing or adding a saved password in the browser, you will see a new section called "Notes" which let you type in extra information for a specific saved password. It could be a password hint for example in case you forget the actual password.
The new feature is spotted on Chrome Canary version 101, and it's unconfirmed whether the feature will successfully make its way till the stable channel or not, time will tell though.

Pixel 6 that have updated to the newer February patch can't install Android 12L, but another build is coming soon
9To5Google
A week ago, Google released a new small update for the Pixel 6, but a few people that decided to flash the Android 12L Beta 3 later can't successfully install it after that.
Those people who faced the issue had tried to enroll in the beta program and waited 24 hours for the OTA, but still they don't receive it. Some also tried sideloading it but end up failing to do so. After a few days, Google responded that it is due to the February patch being newer than the Android 12L Beta 3 build, hence the reason why you don't receive OTA and can't successfully sideload it.
In the same reply, Google also said there is an "upcoming beta build in March " which will let those Pixel 6 owners to have the chance installing it. By the way, Android 12L is hitting the stable channel soon, as Google planned to do it by the end of Q1 this year, or probably it will be extended to April.

Google Phone is preparing Material You dialpad design
9To5Google
Material You is here to stay no matter you like or hate it, and Google is adding more Material You elements into their Phone app.
Google Phone app has earlier got its Material You redesign last year, and now the dialpad is set to get a redesign too. There is border for each of the button, and tapping on it shows animation which are identical to the Calculator app and Android 12's lock screen. As you have expected, the color will follow the device wallpaper you set on Android 12 & later.
Currently the new dialpad design is hidden in the app, Google haven't started to roll it out yet.

Batman Easter Egg make its appearance on Google Search
Android Police
If you're a fan of Batman, you had known that the new movie will be coming out in just a week time. Apparently Google is also excited about it, and they have added an Easter Egg for it too.
Well, searching up for "Batman" or "The Batman" doesn't show the Easter Egg at the first place, instead you need to search for related terms like "Bat-Signal," "Gotham City" or "Bruce Wayne," that's where you get to see the Batman figure in action.
Google told Variety that Warner Bros didn't sponsor the Easter Egg, and it will be available on the site for one year time. “The Batman” movie starring Robert Pattinson in the noscript role, is set to premiere on March 4.

Google earlier opened form for developers to start filling up the upcoming Play Store's Data Safety section last October, and that new section is planned to make it appearance as early in February.
Just recently, Google has changed the date for the rollout of Data Safety section in the Play Store over to April 2022, this is previously expected to go live this month for users.
For the developers side, they will need to “declare how they collect and handle user data for the apps they publish” by July 2022, non-compliant apps may face additional enforcement action and new apps submissions & updates will also be rejected if there is any unresolved issues after that date.

Android 13 finally let you control brightness of your device's flashlight
Esper Blog
Some other devices already let you have the ability to control the flashlight brightness since 2017, and after nearly 5 years time, it could start appearing on more devices running Android 13 soon.
Mishaal Rahman spotted Android 13 has added getTorchStrengthLevel, which returns back the data of the flash brightness level, and turnOnTorchWithStrengthLevel let users set the flash brightness level from minimum level of "1" till the maximum determined by the hardware.
He noted that not all devices will be getting the feature, because it required an update to the camera hardware abstraction layer (HAL) in order to have it. The two new framework is available on Pixel 6 Pro running Android 13 Developer Preview 1, which has version 3.8 of the camera device HAL. In AOSP, the latest version are still on 2.7 and 3.7 respectively.
