Google Keep Material You redesign rolling out
As promised, Google will be rolling out Material You redesign for Google Keep on 21 September. And it is widely rolling out now.

Pill shaped search bar, rounded square "+" button which Google still "keep" the 4 color accents, and the search menu has the most significant difference. From square box option to a big circle option.

On Android 11 and below, you won't be getting the new widget which is a disappointment. Hope Google can bring it in a future update.

Android 12 Dynamic Color theming system could go open source soon
Android 12 stable is set to release on October 4 for Google Pixel devices. Some OEMs also started to test Android 12 Beta, but one key things they are lacking is Dynamic Color support, good news is that it would arrive in the future.

Google wallpaper based theming engine (a.k.a Dynamic Color), codename "monet", suggest that it will be fully open source in Andoid 12.1. It works as a palette generation algorithm which create 2 neutral and 3 accent colors, also there are 12 shades of Material color which is used to decide which hues is the closest to the device wallpaper colors. These color values are later saved in an index which the app can contact through the API, which allow the app to be themed too.

Google recently commited a code change which show "add monet to AOSP", and it was recently cherry-picked to the internal Android 12-sv2 branch. which will be Android 12.1, XDA suspect. (XDA-Developers)
