Denoscription: The groups Mathematical Modelling and Analysis (Prof. Dr. Dieter Bothe) and Computational Multiphase Flows (Dr. Holger Marschall) search for a PhD candidate to work in a distinguished environment within the research focus Thermo-Fluids and Interfaces (TFI, www.tfi.tu-darmstadt.de) at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany. The research project is embedded into a interdisciplinary collaborative framework. The PhD candidate will support our research, particurlarly regarding the development of novel numerical methods for multiphase flows using the open-source C++ library OpenFOAM for computational continuum physics. Both groups have extensive expertise and experience with the use, extension and development of OpenFOAM technology.
