Sometimes when you download a file from the internet it will be signed. This signing makes it possible to verify the sender/creator of a file. Our guides are a good example of this.

Who would have thought that realizing the urgent need for basic opsec within our community would have created such a stir? Yet here we find ourselves.

Later we added a PGP public key directory where any like-minded individuals could come and get the public keys and email addresses of their friends in order to send messages and files privately.

We warned our friends of a potentially accelerating situation because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the governments escalating response. For this, Vice accused us of espionage and wrote a nice bio for us in an article featured in the channel.

What we had not anticipated was that all of this information would lead to us being referred to as “terrorists”.

That’s correct, PGP encryption is perfectly fine for the normies, totally fine for the communists, but it is terrorism when we use it. Privacy is a “right” supposedly guaranteed to all people’s in the western world, but not to us. We’re supposed to allow every (((tech company))) uncontested, full access, to everything we say. Evidently we’re making their jobs difficult.

This may be more relevant than ever these days.

I would consider encrypting a message so that only your most trusted friend or family member can open it, with either their PGP key or a very strong password given to them ahead of time (in person). The message would list passwords you'd want them to have access to, any secrets or information you'd want leaked anonymously, etc.

You never know if today is your last day. Why not give yourself the opportunity to strike back from the other side?

Reminder that you don't need to spend outrageous amounts of money on "zombie-proofing" your house - discarded material can be salvaged fairly easily from landfills. But also consider windows and walls: just because your door is basically impenetrable, doesn't mean your drywall is.

While China reportedly recovers from COVID-19 (the first wave, anyway), they are about to face another crisis.

"The State Party Committee [Chinese Communist Party]... must do everything possible to transfer and store all kinds of living materials such as grain, beef, mutton, oil and salt through various channels" states a leaked internal document from the CCP. The document also orders the "mobilization of the masses to consciously store grain and ensure that each household reserves between 3 and 6 months of grain for emergencies." This is easier said than done, of course, as many stores report being sold out of rice and cooking oil.

Meanwhile, government officials tell their citizens not to prepare or worry. "Consumers have no need to worry about the shortage of food supplies and the sharp rise in prices. They don't have to concentrate on buying bulk food at home," says Wang Bin, deputy director of the Department of Consumer Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce.

This limited supply of food is due to the significant economic and agricultural barriers since the start of the year. With movement limited (if not prohibited altogether) to the tens of millions of workers under lockdown, it should be of surprise to no-one that there won't be a surplus of food to be harvested this year.

One estimate puts the shortfall of fertilizer production alone at 40%. That's a real shame for anyone looking to hold their government leaders responsible for the damage they've caused with their lies and inaction. 👀
