Shin Bet Chief Says PM Fired Him After Refusing To Interfere In Corruption Trial

Netanyahu demanded Ronen Bar tell judges that he should not testify in court due to 'security reasons' during the war against Lebanon

Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly demanded that he inform the judges in the premier’s corruption trial that Netanyahu should not be allowed to testify in court regularly for security reasons, Israeli media reported on 4 April.

Bar made the claim in a letter to the High Court of Justice ahead of its hearing on petitions against the government’s decision to fire him.

Bar says his refusal to agree to Netanyahu’s demand led to a breakdown in trust between them. Netanyahu chose to remove Bar as head of Israel’s internal intelligence agency, citing his lack of trust in Bar.

The Shin Bet chief said he chose to maintain “professional independence” rather than act out of personal loyalty to the prime minister.

At the time Netanyahu allegedly made the request, Israel was engaged in a war with Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Lebanese resistance movement was attacking Tel Aviv with drones and missiles.

Jeffrey Epstein boasted about being a Mossad agent like Ghislaine Maxwell's father Robert, according to new bombshell claims made in a lawsuit.

A former girlfriend of the disgraced financier is suing his estate over claims he raped her at his New York mansion and claimed he was an Israeli spy.

The woman from California, referred to as Jane Doe 200, filed the lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court on Monday and claimed she met Epstein in Los Angeles in 2000.

She said the late sex trafficker suggested he was a Mossad agent like Maxwell's father and was warned 'that it was not good to be Epstein’s enemy.'

Doe claimed their relationship was platonic before it became romantic and he later sexually assaulted her at his Upper East Side home in the fall of 2001.

The woman has named the co-executors of Epstein’s estate Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn as defendants and claims she suffered battery and intentionally inflicted emotional distress.

She said Epstein and Maxwell hinted he was an agent for the Israeli intelligence agency like her father. Both men are Jewish and donated heavily to organizations in Israel.

'It became obvious that Epstein was not only extremely wealthy but also suspiciously well-connected, more so than all the other powerful men with whom he associated,' the lawsuit states.

'Despite being in a committed relationship often spending nearly around-the-clock time together, what Epstein did for work was not clear.'

Robert Maxwell, a British newspaper magnate, is alleged to have been a Mossad agent - although he denied this furiously and regularly issued legal threats.

But his shocking death in which he fell from his $26.5million yacht, Lady Ghislaine, off the coast of Spain in 1991 sparked rumors of an assassination or the possibility of suicide.

He had a good relationship with Israel and would heavily invest in publishing, pharmaceutical and computer firms.

Robert had an impressive rise from an impoverished Czechoslovakian refugee to a war hero who later turned into an accomplished businessman, politician and media mogul.

Rumors of him being a Mossad agent rose again when he was given a hero's funeral on Israel's Mount of Olives, attended by former intelligence chiefs, the Israeli Prime Minister and Israeli President.

White House Cuts Funding For Al-Qaeda-Linked NGO In Syria

The NGO played a key role in the US-backed regime change operation in Syria that toppled Bashar al-Assad

The White House has terminated tens of millions of dollars of funding for the White Helmets, an Al-Qaeda-affiliated NGO that played a key role in the US-backed regime change war in Syria.

CNN reported on 28 March that a contract worth $30 million from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for the White Helmets was terminated as part of US President Donald Trump’s sweeping reforms of the agency.

A smaller contract, worth $1.4 million, from the US State Department to the White Helmets remains in place.

The White Helmets, also known as Syria Civil Defense, was founded by former British intelligence officer James Le Mesurier in Turkiye in 2013 to carry out psychological operations in Syria as part of the broader CIA-backed war to topple the government of Bashar al-Assad and bring Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) to power.

The group, which marketed itself as a search and rescue organization, was originally funded by Mayday Rescue, an NGO based in Istanbul and founded by Le Mesurier and other former British soldiers. Mayday enjoyed funding from several countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Canada.

Physicists have proposed a new model of space-time that may provide the 'first observational evidence supporting string theory,' a new preprint suggests.

Physicists claim they may have found a long-awaited explanation for dark energy, the mysterious force that's driving the accelerated expansion of the universe, a new preprint study hints.

Their calculations suggest that, at the smallest scales, space-time behaves in a profoundly quantum way, differing drastically from the smooth, continuous structure we experience in everyday life. According to their findings, the coordinates of space-time do not "commute" — meaning the order in which they appear in equations affects the outcome. This is similar to how a particle's position and velocity behave in quantum mechanics .

One of the most striking consequences of this quantum space-time, as predicted by string theory , is that it naturally leads to cosmic acceleration. Moreover, the researchers found that the rate at which this acceleration decreases over time aligns remarkably well with the latest observations from the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI)...

"Viewed through the lens of our work, you could think of the DESI result as the first observational evidence supporting string theory and perhaps the first observable consequences of string theory and quantum gravity," study co-author Michael Kavic, a professor at SUNY Old Westbury, told Live Science via email.

In 1998, two independent teams — the Supernova Cosmology Project and the High-Z Supernova Search Team — discovered that the universe's expansion was not slowing down, as previously thought, but was instead accelerating. They reached this conclusion by studying distant supernovas, which appeared dimmer than expected. This acceleration implied the presence of a mysterious entity permeating space, later dubbed dark energy...

Washington has revoked hundreds of student visas in recent weeks as part of a crackdown on foreign university students who oppose the mass killing of Palestinians by Israel

Foreign activists who took part in widespread campus protests against US support for the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza are being exposed by pro-Israel groups using facial recognition technology and tip lines, according to an investigation by AP.

Zionist organization Betar US has reportedly submitted a list of identified protesters to US federal officials. The list was compiled with the help of Eliyahu Hawila, a New York-based software engineer who built a facial recognition tool called NesherAI designed to identify masked protesters.

“It’s a very concerning practice,” said Abed Ayoub, National Executive Director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. “Essentially, the administration is outsourcing surveillance.”
